I was in asia for a couple weeks. I ignored everything in the world other than my business trip and the world cup. And I freaking hate soccer.
At least 16 people have been wounded in a shootout at a children’s playground in New Orleans. Police have called for witnesses after a gunfight broke out at the Bunny Friend playground on Sunday evening in the city’s upper ninth ward. Hundreds of people had gathered for a block party and to film a music video when violence broke out between two separate groups at around 6:15pm.

Police Superintendent, Michael Harrison, told the New Orleans Times-Picayune he believed multiple suspects had fired into the crowd of more than 300 people. He said the shootings may have been gang related. Witnesses said they saw one man with a silver-coloured machine gun fleeing the scene when the police arrived.
Police spokesman, Tyler Gamble, said investigators did not know how seriously wounded the victims are but no deaths have been reported. New Orleans Mayor, Mitch Landrieu, has called on people who were in the park to come forward with information. Mr Landrieu said the shooting is “not something that can be tolerated in the city”.

NOPD Superintendent Michael Harrison said Cain will be charged with attempted first degree murder, second degree kidnapping and armed robbery upon his arrest. "We're going to find you, we're going to prosecute you, and you're going to spend the rest of your life behind bars," Mayor Mitch Landrieu said at a press conference on Sunday. Cain remained on the run Sunday after shooting Gold, 25, early Friday morning when the student stopped to help a woman who Cain appeared to be dragging down the street.
Most of the ordeal was caught on surveillance video, in which Cain can be seen shooting Gold in the stomach before pointing the gun at him again and attempting to shoot him at least two more times at point blank range. Police said Cain's gun jammed before he stole the female victim's purse and fled. "We know who you are and you need to know that we are going to find you," Mayor Mitch Landrieu said in a message to Cane during a news conference Sunday.
Landrieu said authorities were offering a reward of $12,500 for any information leading to Cain's arrest. "We are committed to tracking him down," said New Orleans Police Chief Harrison. Harrison said investigators were able to identify Cain after finding his SUV. Cain was most recently arrested for stealing a cell phone and has also faced stolen vehicle and weapons charges in the past, Harrison said. "It is clear this is a dangerous individual who doesn't value the lives of others," Harrison said, adding that anyone who is hiding or housing Cain will also be charged. Police said that the woman involved in the incident is cooperating with investigators and they don't believe she had any relation to Cain.

Sadly, Good Samaritan Peter Gold is an indirect victim of America's expanding and shameful *National Epidemic of Child Abuse and Neglect,* aka *Poverty*, that for decades has deprived untold numbers of emotionally abused and neglected young developing children from experiencing and enjoying a safe, fairly happy American kid childhood.
Violence and anti-social behaviors like this often occur when emotionally or physically abused and neglected developing young children mature into frustrated, sometimes suicidal *(NY Times May 18, 2015 - Rise in Suicide by Black Children Surprises Researchers)* teens or adults lacking empathy and compassion, though filled with rage and resentment for being introduced to a life of pain and struggle.
How much longer will America ignore the expanding sub-culture of immature American teen girls and young women of African descent who selfishly subject their children to *Child Abuse and Neglect,* aka *Poverty,* by building families with too many mouths to feed?
Mouths attached to children who mature into depressed, angry, unpredictable teens and adults resenting their single-mothers and/or irresponsible dads for introducing them to a life of pain and struggle, yet want to blame everyone except their moms and/or dads for depriving them of the opportunity to experience and enjoy a safe, fairly happy American kid childhood with *Safe Streets* to play or travel on.
Question:
If Baltimore Mom of The Year Toya Graham had built a smaller family she could more easily provide for, nurture and supervise, would her young teen son be in The Street attempting to cause grave harm to peaceful people attempting to protect Ms. Graham's peaceful neighbors from emotional and physical harm often caused to innocent people by depressed, angry frustrated, sometimes suicidal teens and young men who are peeved for irresponsibly being introduced to a life of struggle and hardship?
I grew up listening to Motown artists who wrote beautiful, timeless music loving, lamenting, wooing, praising, adoring and respecting women, aka our moms, sisters, grandmas, daughters, aunts and nieces.
For more than thirty years a substantial number of local and nationally popular American rap performance artists have been characterizing the MATERNAL HALF of our population as less than human *itches and *hores unworthy of respect.
Why?
Speaking At The Eulogy For The Honorable Reverend Clementa Pinckney, President Barack Obama said:
*"Perhaps it causes us to examine what we’re doing to cause some of our children to hate."* *(Applause.)*
Is this an important question or is it not worth looking into?
Are we going to address this tough question posed by our president?

The tough question ALL Americans face is, "Who is responsible for traumatizing, abusing, neglecting, maltreating children to the point where depressed young kids, we're talking elementary school children, believe their lives are not worth living?"
Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke has repeatedly offered sound advice to all Americans, *"Fix the ghetto!"*
I'm with Sheriff Clarke. I believe we also need to re-examine society's child protection and welfare laws.
I am hoping when camera technology proves its worth in protecting police officers, as well as identifying officers who require further training or officers who have no business serving the public in a LE capacity, we will use that same technology to protect children by monitoring the common area of homes in which caregivers have established a track record for failing to properly raise, nurture and/or supervise their children.
Recently I watched a video that saddened me as well as enlightened me when I learned child welfare investigators test the hair of child abuse victims for "ambient" exposure to drugs.
Holy smokes, the numbers were critical. At the least cameras would expose signs of intoxication in homes identified as requiring extra care to prevent children from being emotionally and or physically harmed.
This video depicts horrific examples of men who were victims of childhood abuse and neglect, conditioning a young teen to embrace the criminal, anti-social 'Street Culture' *Baltimore Mom of The Year* failed to protect her teen son from...not to mention representing the fear peaceful people living and WORKING in the community experience knowing depressed, angry, unpredictable teens and young adults need to vent their angers and frustrations for being introduced to a life of pain and struggle by irresponsible, "living wild" single moms and/or dads.
Another horrific criminal act of Child Abuse & Maltreatment.

What I see in this recorded act of criminal child abuse, is adults conditioning children to embrace the cycle of child abuse, child maltreatment and violence passed down from generation to generation by depressed Americans who are content living in the poverty they are primarily responsible for fueling when irresponsibly birthing children from selfishness, instead of the love between two committed adult partners.

The question all concerned, compassionate Americans should seriously be asking our elected, civil, social, community and religious leaders is, what real, substantial changes in our society's attitude and laws need to occur to prevent abuse that often causes young kids to mature into depressed, frustrated, angry teens and adults as a result of experiencing the *emotional and/or physical trauma of an abusive childhood?*
If we do not take affirmative action to protect children, "the ghetto" will continue to thrive, fueled by poor parenting, resulting with depressed kids maturing into depressed teens and adults who often vent their angers and frustrations on their peaceful neighbors, instead of the person(s) responsible for introducing them to a life of hardship, pain and struggle.
