The opposite argument would be easier to make, that we are more connected than ever before given cell phones, email, text messages and the droves of social media.

One quick example : Say you were on a date in the 70's 80's part of the 90's. you and that date paid attention to one another , had fun, , tealked to each other.........

The next time you go out esp. to eat dinner look around you and look at how many people have their faces in their cell phones.
