74% of businesses plan to pass out pink slips or cut hours to avoid Obamacare

Bad move.

It turns out that being a good corporate citizen is as important to selling pizzas as the thinness of the crust or the quality of the cheese.

If you don’t believe it, just ask Papa John CEO, John Schnatter.

As covered—and criticized—in this column in great detail, Mr. Schnatter decided to mix his politics with his pepperoni when suggesting that he would be cutting the work hours for Papa John employees in order to bring them below the 30 hour per week threshold that would require Schnatter to provide his employees with healthcare benefits.

It turns out, the pizza eating public did not approve.

Indeed, so serious was the reaction that Schnatter was forced to publish an op-ed piece where he sought to convince us that he never really intended to cut back worker hours but had simply been speculating on what he might do in response to the legislation.

According to YouGov BrandIndex, a leading marketing survey that measures brand perception in the marketplace (called “Buzz”), Papa John’s had good reason for concern as the pizza chain’s brand identity has plummeted from a high of 32 on election day, to a remarkably low score of 4 among adults who have eaten at causal dining restaurants during the past month.

Ouch.

Papa John's, Applebee's And Others Pay Huge Price For Anti-Obamacare Politicking

— 83 percent support congressional efforts to reform the tax code — with the majority focusing on making it less complex.

but without the complexity it would cost more. If you can read and learn you can intepret tax code. If a human has done it, you can do it. (what my instructor told the class regularly when missile science became a little complex).

— 88 percent of all small businesses support addressing entitlement spending to resolve America’s growing financial challenges and escalating debt.

Which entitlement program? The one for individuals? Companies? Soldiers? The industrial Complex? Energy sector?
If your talking welfare then 80% of the elderly get the slice of welfare pie. So you intend on telling you elders that what they saved through the govt should be cut off? Meals on Wheels should be ended so old people may starve to death in their homes properly and with republican dignity?

If your just looking for a reason to spit on a man doing his job, then next time pick a better gun to fight with.

Only businesses with more than 50 employees need offer insurance. Nearly all of them already do anyway.

.

It's very difficult to believe that the people who wrote this pig didn't realize this was inevitable.

.

HEY even conservatives didn't seem to comprehend this simple math exercise!

A) 18 million people ACCORDING TO the White House counted as uninsured are under 34.
The make over $50,000 and refuse to buy employers' coverage as the spend less then
$1,000 a year so why should THEY be forced to buy it???
Source: CRISIS OF THE UNINSURED: 2009

B) 14 million counted as uninsured need ONLY register with Medicaid!
Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association contracted with the Actuarial Research Corporation (ARC) to provide a detailed analysis of the uninsured identified by the Census Bureau, which found:
Of the 44.7 million non-elderly uninsured individuals identified in the 2004 Census Current Population Survey (CPS) data,
nearly one-third — almost 14 million — were reachable through existing government health programs such as Medicaid
and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) under current rules.

C) 10 million are NOT CITIZENS yet Obama et.al count them as "uninsured"!
Doug smith email Fox news
This leaves truly 4 million that want and need health insurance!

So if the majority of Americans STILL believe Obama's false premise" "We are not a nation that accepts nearly 46 million uninsured men, women and children,"
46 Million Uninsured: A Look Behind The Number : NPR
What chance is there that more complicated concepts like "medical liability ratio" or "pre-existing conditions", or the FACT
that $850 billion a year in health care costs is TOTALLY unnecessary and done out of FEAR will be understood?

NO we are on a continual downtrend and all the false indicators i.e. Dow Jones being up are going to collapse once more
market buyers realize THIS IS THE PEAK! It will only go down hill from here!
I mean WHY in the world buy any health insurance stock if the President meant "I want to put the 1,300 health insurance companies out of business" when he said:
"I happen to be a proponent of a single payer universal health care program"

The elderly paid into the system their entire lives. now the woman that has five kids by five different fathers on welfare. How much did she pay into the system?
