Where does the money of working Americans go? Healthcare expenses can wipe out most Americans. Educating children. Housing.
The paycheck of the average American no longer provides the basic standard of living it once did.

So? Spend your money however you want. You don't want to spend all your money on healthcare, schooling, and housing then don't spend it on healthcare, schooling, and housing. No one is forcing you to spend your money or have kids. Thinking that because you are American you deserve tens of millions of dollars of taxpayer money is just ridiculous.

What the hell? are you suggesting? people live in cardboard houses or something? Damn be realistic, all that leads to is more crime. Thats one thing the right cant figure out, the more poverty you have the more people become desperate and dont give a fuck about the law. Guess the rich is going to have to start building 20 foot walls topped with razor wire around their houses like in South Africa soon.

ROFL so we should ROB PETER TO PAY PAUL TO STOP PAUL FROM STEALING MONEY FROM PETER.

How about people learn to earn a living and become responsible for themselves and their own lives rather than rely on crooks to redistribute income to them?

Worse our HAND-OUT welfare system is designed to keep people on welfare permanently by not providing ANY disincentives for getting off welfare. Further our welfare system goes so far as to force people to quit their jobs in order to collect the free stuff.

RIDICULOUS you want to help these people? End all forms of government welfare. Charity is best provided by those who wish to help people rather than to buy votes.

It's not an issue of one person getting rich

It's an issue of 400 Americans having more wealth than half the country combined ......that affects the country

Well what do you suggest? the other 299,999,600 americans go over to their house, beat them up and rob them?

What I suggest is that we allow the super wealthy to keep their money but discontinue government programs that are aimed at encouraging them to accumulate more and institute programs that enable working Americans to increase their standard of living

What type of programs would those be?
You'll not be permitted to get away with making general statements such as "Institute programs which..."....Be specific.
Keep in mind, the money has to come from somewhere.

Like letting people keep more of their own money?

I like how the OP worded hi statement with "Allow"....There is no "allow"...
The OP is one of these people who thinks all wealth belongs to the federal government. And the bureaucrats are just nice enough to let us keep a little.

Then the average American has to do something about it.

What you don't seem to understand is that people are average because they don't do what those who achieve do.

It's not rocket science.

Fallback on the...you don't work hard enough argument

The problem is not that 150 million Americans don't work hard enough

Yup.

Your problem is you like to speak to the average. I don't see people as some amorphous faceless mob like you do.

The simple fact is that if you want to improve your position you can.

Just because simple isn't easy does not mean it's impossible.

You like to speak as if you hold people in high esteem but you really seem to believe that people in general are incompetent.

Keep falling back on the singular argument. If one person can work harder and do better, then that is the solution for everyone

150 million Americans are not lazy. Working Americans are as productive as anyone on earth. They have been asked to work harder and make sacrifices. They have done just that and still receive a smaller slice of the pie

It is time to examine who is doing the slicing

Give some examples. Facts. Not what you 'feel'.

Fact: We live by he Golden Rule
He who has the Gold, makes the rules

Those 400 make a lot of rules including our current tax code. They also make rules on government subsidies, international law, trade law, labor paw, environmental laws.......all aimed to allow them to protect and accumulate more wealth

So true. The problem though is that you still support furthering that concept. Complex tax code will ensure the continuance of that concept no matter what as long as you allow congress to define special interest groups. Flat tax is essentially the only way out of that. Instead, all I hear is cries to tax the rigch more. That does nothing as the rich don’t really pay taxes anyway and they certainly are not going to start because the rate increases.

Same goes for all the demands of regulation. None of that makes the filed level. If anything it makes it far less even.

No I dissagree, the japanese and mexicans work harder. The germans work harder and smarter then the Japanese. We are getting better though I admit compared to the 70's. Yea RW now your starting to get me to think about who is slicing the pie. The folks I would like to start with though is not the 400 that you mentioned before. But the fed, because I think there is foreign banks involved

Unless you can provide at least some evidence, I will remain skeptical.
Earlier I asked how anyone else's income directly affected YOU.
So far, you've evaded the question.

That's just a complaint.
Ok, do you think that just because a guy who has made his living collecting trash for 25 years deserves to be a millionaire? He works hard.
Do you think the woman who has worked as an executive secretary for 20 years should make a six figure income? She works hard.

You missed the OP's point.
The way to a comfortable living STARTS with financial responsibility. Living within one's means.

Right back to the class warfare argument.
Ok...Full circle. Out.

But your not following the logic, if we dont help, were going to have to deal with stuff we dont want to deal with. its better to pay welfare folks off then deal with more crime. because when folks get desperate they get together and start anarchy. We have alot of idiots in this country and they dont care about the laws when they get desperate enough. its a fine line I think we have to walk. just saying...

Far from it

The American dream is no longer what it once was.......unless you are among the richest mericans

A payoff to avoid mob rule....Terrific.

If it works for one it can work for all.

I never used the word lazy. People just accept what they have and very few do anything to improve their situation. It's the human condition.

Do you realize most people spend more time planning their two week vacation than they do planning their finances? Most people have no idea what they spend their money on every month.

These things have nothing to do with some rich guy with his boot on the neck of the poor.

And there is no pie.

The affluent are growing more affluent than ever.

The rest of Americans are growing poorer than ever.

That state of affairs does not bode well for any nation that is a democratic republic.

You folks can give us all the Willy May rags to riches stories you want, but those statistical outliers do not change the fact that the aggregate statistics are still showing a upward trend in incomes and wealth maldistribution.
