Candycorn was bitching about the house not being expanded to reflect population growth. Since the democrats have had numerous chances to run on and probably win on such a platform why haven't they?

It used to be that way. it got changed when the house chamber started to look like a bar giving away free beer.

A simple answer...Cuz they only want to change things immediately after they get their collective asses whooped.

That too but I suspect the house would become two Caucus alliances and in that case so would presidential races.

Now that Trump has become the 2nd president since 1888 to be elected without the popular vote (bush jr being the 1st) it has become evident tha the republican party has manipulated the voting laws and regulations to rig the election with things like gerrymandering, voter suppression laws, and the de-regulation of money in politics.

Keep in mind nobody would be talking about abolishing the electoral college if trump and bush had won the popular vote

The fact is, it wouldn't change a damn thing, representation would still be proportional according to the census just like it is now.

While true about presidential elections it would cause a huge growth in third parties at the state and congressional levels and change how the debates and analysis would change from 2 echo chambers to more multiple choices. Our federal elections are like a Henry Ford saying you can have any color you want so long as it is red or blue.

It wouldn't advantage third or fourth or fifth parties any more than they are now. Adding, for example, 100 additional congressional districts that would be applied proportionally among the States like they are now wouldn't really change any of the dynamics presently at play. All the State rules for ballot qualification wouldn't be changed, finance laws wouldn't change. To sum it up, it wouldn't change a damn thing, as I said in my first post.

You mean, no one would be complaining it's unfair, if it wasn't unfair?

I guess you're forgetting, you regressive out spent the republicans by about 10:1 and got you ass handed to you. Also gerrymandering has nothing to do with anything in State wide elections.
