I think you're talking about atrophy. Necrosis is when that stuff turns black--as in tissue death--and falls off.

It is the stuff of nightmares for real. This was an elderly woman in Japan but....not the only case of this happening out there.

Sure, but the vaccine will probably reduce the flu like symptoms so its worth the risk. And in fact it is your patriotic duty to take it. Even though it doesn’t prevent transmission either.
