Sharp Decline In Abortion Rates Across US - The Almagest

The study also found that along with the decline in abortions, the overall pregnancy and birth rates have also dropped down, partly due to the recent recession. Apart form that, contraceptive use and methods improved during the period too.

The researchers also established that the total number of abortion providers declined by only 4 percent between 2008 and 2011, whereas the number of clinics providing abortion services is down by just 1 percent.

“With abortion rates falling in almost all states, our study did not find evidence that the national decline in abortions during this period was the result of new state abortion restrictions. We also found no evidence that the decline was linked to a drop in the number of abortion providers during this period,” says Rachel Jones, lead author of the study.

The study reads however, that while the overall abortion rates declined, early medication abortions are on the rise, with an estimated 239,400 early medication procedures performed in 2011, an increase from 17 percent in 2008.

This is very good news. And with the Obamacare changes, the rate should drop even lower.

Early medication abortions are on the rise - that is all the lifers will see and pay attention to.

This must be a real disappointment for the tree huggers, eugenicists, and liberal filth in general. I'm certain Bill Gates, Ted Turner, and Oprah Windbag are very disappointed.

Hey I am sure you are one of those right wing whack jobs that HATE abortion. I mean HATE abortion. Right? Sure I am.

Then what the fuck is wrong with your head, that when abortion numbers are at a low point, you can't say; good. And I hope they go lower.

Are you just that fucked up? I believe that to be the case.

Education fixes many things. More people are educated about baby-development in the womb, less likely they are to regard abortion as anything but baby-killing.

Nothing to do with it. My answer is THE answer. Education and effective contraception. If you were right, the birth rate would have gone up.

Hmmmm I guess the statistics were helped by the fact that Libs got 11 year old hotties the OK to get
the morning after pill without parents consent.

This could break good OR it could break bad.

It might mean liberals are using more conventional methods of birth control instead of aborting on a whim.

Or it might mean liberals have decided victory lies through a growing population.

This is the direction the anti-choice people want to go, isn't it?
