Abu Dhabi donut

I was first introduced to shawarma in Abu Dhabi.

That was some good eatin', and really cheap...

Thanks Donald Trump for bringing more peace to the middle east

we got shawarma in brooklyn----maybe not so cheap

We bought them in Abu Dhabi, in 1991, for about 18¢ a piece...

come to brooklyn-----you will be very lucky to get it for 8 BUCKS--(maybe)-----btw---the greeks do it best and call it GYRO

Nooooo... A gyro and a shawarma are very different.

The main difference between shawarma and gyro is the meat. Unlike gyros, the packed-down shawarma meat can be anything from chicken to lamb to veal to goat. Also unlike the gyro, shawarma never has tzatziki sauce, which would detract from the flavor of the methodically marinated meat...
