Muhammad Ali's bike was stolen when he was a kid and that theft was crucial to his crossing paths with a cop who introduced him to boxing. You've heard the story by now but I always wondered what happened to that bike. If the thief came forward today and could prove it, he would gain instant fame. But if he still had that bike, he could be a new millionaire, even if the bike is a rusted pile of junk. Does anyone here have a clue as to where that bike may be?

They never did find the bike...

... possibly by now...

... it found it's unknown way to the DAV rack...

... or metal salvage bin.

Possibly. But isn't it intriguing to think it is still out there in one piece somewhere? The kid who stole it is probably in his/her seventies by now and if they would come forward that would be a great story.

Ali shared any descriptive information with his close friends and family. And since he reported it stolen, there might be a police report giving even more detailed information such as color or serial number. The family might even have pictures of Ali riding his bike. I think it is newsworthy to follow every lead to find that national treasure and put it in a museum for all to enjoy. A priceless relic like that would be a monumental find!
