All the whining about gopers wanting to impeach Obama. ..

No need. A good ad guy wouldn't use the actual videos, anyway.

Sorry bub. If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video clip is worth a million. That drunk DA was horrifying, and many voters wouldn't want her in public service.

Well, since she holds an elected office, why don't the "voters" vote her out?

This isn't about the actions of the drunk DA - this is about Perry trying to blackmail an elected official (from the other party) into resigning.

Do you think Perry will quit like Palin did?

I'm sure there is a Foxnews gig waiting

She's said she isn't running for a third term. The incident happened after the 2012 election. She could hang in there and wait for a recall; or voters may decide to just run out the clock.

Then impeachment would be the logical answer, not blackmail.

It wasn't blackmail.

It was plain old vanilla politics. Even the NYT, Alan Dershowitz and Mia Farrow grok that concept.

I'm not a lawyer, I don't claim to have expertise in that field.

But 100 years ago, the Governor of Texas was indicted for esentially the same thing, and was convicted for it.

Do you believe that Executives should have the right to demand the resignation of elected political opponents?

Should Obama demand Boehner's resignation, and then veto Congress's operational budget if he refuses?
