You can't be serious right ?? Don't you realize that everything gets adjusted to suck up as much of our income as possible ? This idea or conceptual thinking keeps people struggling just enough in so that they will show up to work the next day. Take to much of the struggle out of life, and the people become lazy and complacent in life. Otherwise nothing gets done, and the people get more and more lazy as time goes by.

A Merit based society is the only way ever to move foward in this country.

The mythic thinking that everyone can be equal without merit is as ridiculous a thinking as can be imagined.
