America's Astronauts Being Held Hostage By America At The Space Station- Wilmore And Sunita... Is Biden Aware?

Four SpaceX people been there since March 4th 2024
Three Soyuz people been there since March 23 2024
Two Boeing people been there since Jun 5 2024.

There's also an unrelated Chinese space station with three guys been there since April 25 2024.

That's nine people in the ISS, the more people the more risk that someone will fall ill or freak out.

Astronauts in space have a lot to do, including working, eating, exercising, and relaxing. Their average workday is 16 hours, and they are on call 24 hours a day. Here are some of the things astronauts do in space:

  • Work
Astronauts perform a variety of tasks, including operating science experiments, maintaining the station, and assembling the shuttle. They also clean, check equipment, and repair or replace broken equipment.

  • Exercise
Astronauts exercise for about two hours each day to maintain muscle tone and keep their bones strong.

  • Eat
Astronauts eat three meals a day, prepared and eaten under restrictions because food and drink can move around the station. They eat the same kind of meals as on Earth, including preserved foods, nuts, breads, and fruits.

  • Relax
In their free time, astronauts do things similar to what people do on Earth, like relaxing, cleaning, and talking to friends and family.

  • Spacewalks
Astronauts sometimes go outside the station to perform extra-vehicular activities (EVAs) in their space suits. These activities can include maintaining solar panels and helping keep the space station running.

Just announced the star liner pair will return to earth in Feb 2025.

Two question that I've had and cannot get any answers to are:

1. Who else is in the space station and how long have they been up there?
2. Why cant' they be brought back sooner?

The news is that the astronauts from star liner will have been up there for eight months by the time they return, but the other astronauts up there were already there and will (it seems) return after the star liner crew, so what's all this fuss about eight months being a long time?

Why is eight months seen as concerning when the other astronauts will have been up there longer than that when they eventually return?

NASA have said nothing at all about those other astronauts and it strikes me as rather odd.
There may be medical profiles that are necessary for durations. For example, a medical workup for someone who is slated to remain on the station for one or more years must meet a specific medical condition.

These two were slated to rendezvous with the station, stay maybe a day or two, and then return. Their ability -- health -- to remain for extended timeframes may not have been checked, and now NASA is just rolling the dice that they won't have any issues.

After crashing two plane loads of people with a Software error
Having a door plug blow out in flight

Boeing is now stranding two astronauts in space because their spacecraft cannot be trusted to return them safely

A SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule will bring home two NASA astronauts who have remained on board the International Space Station for about 80 days because of issues plaguing the Boeing Starliner spacecraft — marking a stunning turn of events for the beleaguered aerospace giant.
