If nazi germany acted like israel did in protecting their own there would be no such thing as a nazi hunter OR the nuremburg trials. Thankfully, there are two sets of rules that apply here: one for jews and one for dirty ass goyim.
Well actually, the CIA was too busy smuggling Nazis into this country to use against the Soviets to really give a damn either way.
Seriously though, I couldn't imagine the backlash as you say if Germany had protected it's troops from War Crimes like Israel is here. The other countries wouldn't of allowed it then, yet sitting by allowing it now when Israel commits war crimes. There does seem to be two seperate rules.
You speak so highly of Churchill, yet he was the one responsible for the 1953 coup in Iran you love to talk about. And I suppose you think churchill was wrong in his bombing of Dresden, because after all, they were ALL innocent civilians, right?
Germany wasn't ABLE to protect its troops from war crimes because they had no say in the trials.
