Anyone got any good pulled pork recipes?

This is about as close to real pulled pork as I've found for the crockpot.

It is VERY important to roll up the balls of aluminum foil to keep the meat out of the liquid and remove most the liquid from time to time.

Use a little hickory liquid smoke...maybe a teaspoon if you want intense smokey flavor...1/2 a tsp or less for just a hint of smokeyness.

My mom used to make pot roast with vinegar, the gravy was so good.

My mom used to make braised lamb shanks with a horse radish and vinegar brown grave.

To.Die.For...much better than the Mediterranean style preparation that one finds in restaurants.

Oh that sounds good..

It's divine...I had it for my special birthday dinner several times. I'll post the recipe when I have a chance. It's pretty easy to make.

I get boneless country style ribs when they're on sale.

Put the pork in a crock pot, add a can (or two or three depending on the amount you're making) of Coke and simmer until you can separate the pork....Reduce out the excess liquid...Then add your favorite BBQ sauce (I like a 2:1 mix of Ken Davis and Open Pit the best), garlic, cayenne or your favorite hot sauce to taste....My brother likes to add a little yellow mustard to his.

Serve on a kaiser roll with a slice or two of Murrican cheese....The tab stacked stuff, not the waxy crap wrapped in the cellophane.

Yum.

Braising meat is not sissy. It's just different...and a hell of a lot easier in the winter than smoking a pork butt.

Maybe. I live in Floriduh, we have no winter so I can't imagine making pulled pork in a crock pot. That's for soup.

Crock Pot pulled Pork with Jack Daniels BBQ sauce
(14 ounce) can beef broth
3 pounds boneless pork ribs
Directions
1.Pour can of beef broth into slow cooker, and add boneless pork ribs. Cook on High heat for 4 hours, or until meat shreds easily. Remove meat, and shred with two forks. It will seem that it's not working right away, but it will.

Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce
Ingredients
2 or 3 pounds pork shoulder roast
2 cups honey barbecue sauce
3/4 cup sliced onion
1/2 cup diced green pepper
4 tablespoons Jack Daniels whiskey
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°. Place pork in oven proof baking pan. Pour sauce over top and cover with foil. Place on middle rack of oven and bake for 1 1/2 hours. Remove from oven. Serve on toasted bun or over rice.

I use brown rice. It's really good. :)

I just think of it as Chile Verde.

Smoke it on the BBQ HG.

100 times better than the crock pot...and not very difficult.

I smoke everything on a regular weber bbq grill...you can pick one up on craigslist for like $25.

I been thinking of doing a good pulled pork in the crock pot this weekend, anyone have any recipes for it? I got one off line where we put Guiness in with it, but I was trying to see if anyone else had something they recommend.

A while back a poster associated with Radio, man, had a great pulled pork recipe. You could probably do a search and find it.

*kisses*
