Actually what we need are fewer idiots like you. The US has a long history of bilateral medical research with many countries including China and we have benefited greatly from it. It is one area that has remained above political fray.

Every jet that flew in from China before the travel ban could have been sprayed with coronavirus turning the people into germ warfare spreaders. The CIA found out and advised Trump. Assuming, for the sake of the argument, this were true, place yourself in Xi's shoes: What would be the objective? Is spraying commercial jets the best way to spread a disease among the ranks of the "enemy"? What do you make of the fact that this "enemy" (Europe & the U.S.) is also your best customer with the highest purchasing power? Wouldn't "germ warfare" also imply you hide your tracks as best you can? Aren't contaminated jets flying in from China all the time kinda obvious? Isn't it a bit stupid to infect your own people first, in Wuhan, then to announce the infection, along with the gene sequence, to the world, and then to use the exact same pathogen to wage war?

As American corporations revisit and rethink their (Chinese) supply chains, the virus continues its spread into the world, from which more infections are going to return to China, how on earth is that equivalent to "working"? What, that is to say, would be the benefit?
