AOC Can’t Define Capitalism

Of course she has had experience, and experience in capitalism...benefit quite a bit from it, she just doesn't know it.

Capitalism is an economic system, in which trade and industry are owned by private ownership, not the state. Where the production of good is based on supply and demand, via the market economy, not via the state.

That's all moot when the taxpayers get the bill to keep it all afloat. That's all moot when the government tells you who can trade with and who you can't.

its practiced in every country by people.,, I know thats hard for you to understand because it negates your narrative,, but thats the facts,,

and I only claimed one benefit,,

it has brought more people pout of poverty than any other system known to mankind,, prove me wrong??

You keep on defaulting "by people". We are talking the economic system of the country. If we have UHC Jane can still go buy a loaf of bread from Jack.

youre dodging again,,,

people are the ones that work under a capitalist system not countries,,

even in the most controlled countries in the world like china or cuba people still use the capitalist system,, they would just go to jail if caught doing it without permission,,

now prove me wrong that capitalism has reduced poverty more than any other system,,

You have to show a country that practices Capitalism to make that argument.

We aren't discussing what you do at the donut shop.

As you note that is no different than what people in Cuba do so we must have the same economic system.

We are discussing the countries economic system. It is not Capitalism. You can answer it's quasi capitalism but the quasi part is socialism.

that what you call socialist part wouldnt exist if there wasnt capitalism,,,
sidenote.. those arent socialist,, they are communities pooling resources for the common good,,
I consider that a well proven success dont you?? more so when you consider our poor are among the richest in the world,,

NO ONE practices Capitalism. Capitalism is a theory. You can't argue "well Jane goes to the market and buys a loaf of bread from Jack and that's Capitalism".

Jane got the money to buy that loaf of bread from money the government sent her.
It would be more difficult to send money to Jane with a gold/silver backed currency. Fiat currency has incredible highs and also incredible depths. An issue with this currency it is owned by private people. They are middle men for everything we buy and sell officially. So a man trades 5 loaves of bread to a woman for 5 apple pies they both get it all. But the middleman takes one of the pies and one of the loaves of bread just for using the currency that came out of nowhere. It is more complicated then that, but there is a massive transfer of wealth from the citizens.

Argue that one supports the other. I won't argue against that.

It would be far more difficult but that is not what we do.
