Also, if you look at the statewide numbers, Kansas seems to have a high crime risk. Kansas is 74% white.
Texas, on the other hand, has a below average crime risk in most of the categories. Texas is only 43% white.

Strange that, if you think blacks and hispanics are responsible for most of the crime, the state with a far greater proportion of whites would have much higher crime risk than one with a much smaller proportion of whites.
