Yes, it would be nice that after a 100 years, the Turks could finally apologize to the Armenians plus the Greeks and Assyrians for those who were murdered in the genocide of 1915.

Armenian civil society organizations, journalists and the public in general are hopeful about the normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey; however, Armenians insist on a state apology for events in 1915 under the Ottoman Empire, which they call genocide.

Journalists participated in a Turkey-Armenia Media Bus Tour organized by a consortium of eight civil society organizations from Armenia and Turkey with financial assistance from the European Union under the Instrument for Stability (IfS). They met with journalists and civil society organizations in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi and the Armenian capital, Yerevan.

The fortnight-long Media Bus Tour ends on Sunday, Oct. 26. It covered many places, including Ankara, Antalya, Cappadocia, Denizli, Fethiye and İzmir in Turkey, Tbilisi in Georgia, and Dilijan, Yerevan, Lake Sevan, Sisian and Garni in Armenia.
