It's pure evil to expose this American patriot and his family to further danger from Trump terrorists. That's why the mainstream media isn't doing it.

Amen! I'm sort of puzzled why USMB would even allow such a thread - especially from a mod.

Indeed, Belle should have posted this "news" based on a stupid TWEET in Badlands or Rubber Room. :)
Most would have been banned for posting restricted personal information. But some posters get away with it

When a person becomes a public figure by actions of their own, like shooting someone, then the law says they no longer have some rights to privacy they had before. Such as their picture, name, and even address appearing in national publications. You can not legally take a picture of someone and publish it, but if they were already in a TV commercial, then you can. It paparazzi rules that then apply.

And I would totally disagree this cop who shot is a hero.
He was behind a further barricade, with many other police.
Ashli was only going from the senate to the lobby, not to the actual House where the cop was.
So there was at least one more layer of barricade before one could claim it was the last ditch defense effort.
There is just no way to claim the shooting was necessary.

The officers identity was being intentionally withheld for his safety and the safety of his family.

The same crazies who attacked the Capitol would attack him in retaliation.

The original poster does not care about the officers safety and gloated about it. USMB Mods do not care either.
Stop with the drama. Babbitt was shot for political reasons. It was to intimidate Trump supporters and the justice she received, which was no justice at all, is also to intimidate conservatives and embolden those violent thugs that do the Democrats dirty work.

For about a decade, we heard nothing but right wing loons cheering people who shot and killed someone who was a threat to them---"stand your ground" was a good thing. Somehow as 140 cops were injured and one was killed in an attack on the Capitol, a cop shooting one of the threats is now a "murderer"?

I would say that Trump supporters are devoid of principles...but we all know that.
I keep asking for a list of those injuries and no one can produce it. Why is that?

And the members of Congress were there waiting? They were gone, evacuated. Babbitt was murdered and you now support murderers. Fairly simple to understand, but it could be out your intellectual reach.

Like everything else you post about, you get this wrong too. No, ya deranged freak of nature, they hadn't completely evacuated the House chamber when Benedict Ashli was shot. There were still some house members inside who heard the gunshot...

What the fuck do you think Sullivan was really doing there....all summer long----we would see groups of anti-fa/blm encourage and lead attacks upon cities and buildings. Among the video arose a pattern...where usually around about 5 members of these groups would work as a well rehearsed group. ONe would film--such as sullivan...one would break window, one would encourage the crowds to enter the broken window, others would also play their parts-----but as each completed their obviously assigned job---they would quickly and quietly leave the scene---one right after another. We saw this at the capital as well when Ashli was shot.......Sullivan known anti fa filmed...other members of the group broke the window and then quietly fled, etc. EXACT same pattern----------People really rioting and breaking the windows---would crawl through themselves and stick around---but that isn't what we were seeing.

How many times have we been through the Sullivan nonsense?

Sullivan was kicked out of BLM protest movements in multiple cities months ago.
In a long Twitter thread, a group called Rebellion Baby detailed the various protest groups around the country that had cut ties with Sullivan, characterizing him as a possible "agent provocateur" or "infiltrator" with ties to the right-wing. (Note that the date of this thread is November of 2020, and that the thread was put out as a warning to Seattle protest groups to keep him away.)
"John has been kicked from the #SaltLakeCity and #Portland protest scenes due to alarming behaviors including grifting/profiteering, self-promotion/clout chasing, sabotage of community actions, threats of violence, and — maybe most disturbingly — ties to the far-right," Rebellion Baby wrote. "In short — John's brother, James, is the co-founder of a pro-Trump org called 'Civilized Awakening,' and has strong ties to Proud Boys — even having spoken at a Proud Boy rally. The brothers' polarized political stances conveniently bolster the other's public personas. Activists in these cities recommend that he be barred from community actions and totally avoided."
Sullivan has multiple social media accounts under multiple names, and frequently adds new ones as he gets called out. For example, he used to be known as "Activist John" but started going by "Jayden X" as different protest groups started warning one another about him.

The Speaker's Lobby is actually just a hallway leading into the House chamber. That mob spotted some lawmakers in there being escorted out and that's when they started trying to break in.

images

But the point is that the lobby access Ashli achieved gained nothing.
The actual House floor was still yet another barricade.
Making the shooting of Ashli pointless.
It was to defend an empty and vacant hallway.

You can see video of the shooter inside the House chamber, pointing his gun out through cracks in the barricade, in order to shoot Ashli as she tries to enter the window to the lobby.
So Ashli was 2 rooms away essentially.
The shooting was vastly unwarranted and premature.
Only for defense of the actual House chamber could deadly force be warranted.
You can tell because the 2 cops at the doors between the Senate and lobby acquiesced.
They decided this door was not worth fighting over.
So clearly there was no reason to shoot Ashli.
There were yet other layers of defense.

For about a decade, we heard nothing but right wing loons cheering people who shot and killed someone who was a threat to them---"stand your ground" was a good thing.
