Anyone relishing shooting black people (for no other reason than that they are black) is indeed a racist. PS: They are NOT my brethren!Denounce your brethren here relishing the shooting of black people.
Denounce your counterpart for his vile comment.Your racism is showing.
I worked for a major TELCO for thirty five years, most of it in the field. We often worked on private property, quite often without the permission of the resident since we legally had access to easements. We were required to carry and produce ID on request. That sometimes led to confrontations with people like this. Our instructions in those cases was to leave, call Company Legal and they would either send a lawyer and the police, or just the police to “explain” the law and, if required, escort us on the premises. On several occasions I saw residents arrested for being unreasonable, or assaulting the employee or officer."We"?
It's called common courtesy. I would think most employers would want their employees to identify themselves if asked.
I'm not saying the two handled this situation properly, but it certainly seems reasonable for a resident to ask someone to identify themselves when they are not recognized, especially when the person is walking around in a parking garage.
I don't know if this person had a company uniform on, or had some readily identified other identification visible, or what the situation was.
If he was simply in street clothes, and no visible ID, then I'm not sure why he would have a problem being asked to identify himself.
If that is the case, why are you encouraging the harassment of innocent black people?Anyone relishing shooting black people (for no other reason than that they are black) is indeed a racist. PS: They are NOT my brethren!
If he did that, he would be fired.Yes, she has the right to report as much as he the right to say “no you may not see my ID- go fuck yourself.”
My only brethren are people who want to live and let live.Anyone relishing shooting black people (for no other reason than that they are black) is indeed a racist. PS: They are NOT my brethren!

Well, out of the tens of millions of interaction between blacks and whites daily -- out of those tens of millions - half of those interactions results in the white person being murdered, raped, assaulted, etc --- literally millions of whites in this country get murdered and raped by blacks everyday....Literally tens of millions of interactions between blacks and whites on any given day, and this is the crap you find.

That being said, questioning the identity of a stranger on private property is never out of line, and people who are there legitimately don’t resent it. It’s part of the job.
I’m white and I couldn’t count the number of times I was stopped on private property and asked my purpose for being there. I was a phone tech and could go pretty much anywhere at any time legally. I was never offended, I was always happy to show my ID and explain my presence. Usually that was the end of the problem. When it wasn’t, one or the other of us would call the cops to straighten things out. When anyone sees an unknown person in a secure are, questioning them is a good idea, regardless of the race of either party. Thieves are successful because people don’t question them. When white folks stop harrassing black and brown people for “looking suspicious,” the accusations of racism in these scenarios will stop.
In the same circumstances I would tell you that I work for the managementWe don’t owe you shit. You aren’t getting any ID. Give me your ID.
"'What are you doing here?' Edward asks, to which Martinez replies, 'None of your business.'"
Was Martinez in Uniform?? Did he have a pass?? Hmmm....could be interesting Court proceeding's to follow.
Greg
Um; you have the same attitude to plain clothed cops??
Greg
The mother was well within her rights, and as far as I can tell was nothing but respectful. The son was out of line and should have been arrested. But the tow truck driver was way out of line, he provoked the whole incident and escalated it. If he worked for a TELCO he would have been either given a multiple month suspension or fired. Being asked to show ID on private property is reasonable, getting hostile about it isn’t. I can’t see why the mother was fired, she didn’t do anything illegal.Gladly. It’s happened before and the cops apologized. Y’all act like black people aren’t used to this foolery.
In the same circumstances I would tell you that I work for the management
Any white person would unless they were raised in the ghetto by black foster parents
What do I have to gain by acting mysterious?

I don't have the data to back that up -- but it feels good to me to believe it......
That’s an assumption on your part and I can tell you that you are wrong. I’ve been asked for ID plenty of times and I’m white. If he were white they would have never said a damn thing to him.
Because she lives there and he was a strangerTell me what authority she had to question him

Call the cops, yes, kicking his ass, no.That doesnt sound like the actions of a professional employee. If i get those responses from a guy looking into cars, im calling the cops instantly. If he is looking into my car, he is getting his ass kicked.
