That's crony capitalism/mercantilism, not laissez-faire, dude.Capitalism. Societal race to the bottom while chasing profit margin growth to infinity for the substantial people.
It is what america does dude. That's crony capitalism/mercantilism, not laissez-faire, dude.Capitalism. Societal race to the bottom while chasing profit margin growth to infinity for the substantial people.
Compensation was severed from productivity in the very early 1970s and all that wealth was redistributed to the aristocracy.American workers have never been more productive.
That's the way it has been since 1913 or thereabouts, but it wasn't always that way.It is what america does dude. That's crony capitalism/mercantilism, not laissez-faire, dude.Capitalism. Societal race to the bottom while chasing profit margin growth to infinity for the substantial people.
Privatized gains versus socialized losses for the Wall Street bankster class
Internalized profits versus externalized risk and expense for the "Job creator" class
Socialism for the aristocracy versus laissez-faire capitalism for the masses
That severance was actually made during the onset of the progressive era, but there were a couple of huge wars, and a few smaller ones, to paper over the fact...Of course, you can conceal a lot when the war machine of your progressive oligarchy is used to lay waste to all the other major industrial nations in the world, and you enjoy a near monopoly on production for a few decades.Compensation was severed from productivity in the very early 1970s and all that wealth was redistributed to the aristocracy.American workers have never been more productive.
Watch. Takes endless war and plunder to prop up the charade now. Wealth redistribution is wealth redistribution.Spoken like a true Marxist, comrade.
I like endless wars. How else are we going to maintain world superiority in military technology and battlefield medicine?
You still think we're fighting the North Vietnamese, right?
"We" are fighting the middle class and poor in america as empires always do as they unwind. And the only answer to any social problem at home will be, as you suggest, based upon violence. And you're right, the system will bring its superiority in military technology to bear upon the people. That's why your police have been militarized.
I sincerely wish my local law-enforcement personnel would get even more military hardware. They're some good ol' boys and girls and if you want to know the truth, I'm on a first-name basis with some who are both active and retired.
Oh I have no doubt of that at all, your pathology is intuitively obvious to even the most casual of observers. What's better than a police state in which one sees himself as one of the police?

But it is instructive to note that you blame this on capitalism...I'm now beginning to figure out that you're not nearly as reasonable as you've been trying to pass yourself off as.
Meh....I was getting a strong whiff of commie.....Even more so now.Nothing has changed in my output or delivery.
It is certainly our version of capitalism as practiced now. And as our version of capitalism continues to fail to meet the needs of society as a whole, it will either be amended or to will continue to devolve back into a high tech, low profile, hyper-surveilled version of feudalism. Our version of capitalism never saw fit to wean itself off of a cheap source of laor it could either enslave or exploit extra-legally, hence all the nonsense know about "illegals". The consumers are their own sharecroppers now. Capitalism had better sort itself out. Predatory capitalism winds up at the same destination predatory socialism and predatory communism do.
Oh I know you couldn't, it's your attempting to glom onto them with that pathetic some-of-my-best-friends-are-cops shtick.Watch. Takes endless war and plunder to prop up the charade now. Wealth redistribution is wealth redistribution.

Not me. Law-enforcement is a tough job and you couldn't pay me enough to deal with all the scumbags in this country. But my County Sheriff did shake my hand once and confide in me how he appreciates those who have concealed carry permits, and carry every day. He said this was a big county and there's no way they can be in all places at the same time.
True story, Rufus.
No one ever can defend america, all they can ever do is call ya a commie and run. Odd.Meh....I was getting a strong whiff of commie.....Even more so now.Nothing has changed in my output or delivery.

Dismissed, tovarich.
This society used to know monopolization was detrimental to society as a whole, now we can't run toward it fast enough.Yet, if they do lay-off 7000, which they haven’t specified the number, they are still net positive over 2 years of hiring-
A company spokesperson confirmed the upcoming round of layoffs to FOX Business, noting that they will impact a small portion of AT&T’s workforce. In the wake of its $85 billion acquisition of Time Warner, AT&T is prioritizing investments in new technology and content offering over its legacy services.
“We are hiring to meet the needs of the growth areas of our business,” AT&T said in a statement. “In fact, we hired more than 20,000 new employees last year and more than 17,000 the year before. In cases where we do have to adjust our workforce, we take steps to lessen the effect on employees.”
AT&T to lay off unspecified number of workers
And considering the merger, it is no surprise. I didn’t like the merger, but this is a part of the results of mergers.
