Bad News for Lamar: Tea Partiers Vow to Stand United

Dems hold the mayor office of every city with a pop of 100K or more in Tenn. Charge on teapartiers ... "no compromise." It worked so well in 1861.

You guys are preoccupied with how this will help/hurt the Republican party. But most of us pushing for change don't give a shit. We'll vote for any candidate, for just about any party, who stands up credibly for the principles we believe in. Likewise we're not voting for establishment tools, regardless of which team they play for.

In a few locales, that will make a different.

State and regionally and nationally wide, you no longer have the numbers. Those days are over.

the tea party may not have the votes in state, if the issue is whether a candidate can 'work to solve problems." So far, they've put GA in play. The mayors do their day to day work across party lines, solving problems. They may put Tenn in play as well.

Possibly, but the days of TPM dominance are over, except for specific states and communities, and I suspect they are shrinking in number as well.

whats so funny is there will be republican voters that can't stand tea party candidate that they will either vote for a democrat, or not vote at all ... can you say dems win, repub lose ... sure we can!!!!1

That's a delusion. Republicans would never vote for a Democrat over a TEA Party candidate. You might as well ask them to vote for a communist.

They certainly did in Nevada, Delaware, Missouri, and Iowa, to name a few.

And Alaska, in the primary to throw out Joe.
