You know, with the need for minorities, you can help yourself — you've got a better chance of getting some speed with Latin and African-Americans.

"I'm not being racist," he added. "That's just how it is."

First off Dusty Baker is a joke of a manager. He could not win the World Series against the Angels. He blew the the 2003 NLCS with the Cubs and ruined Mark Prior arm. He never did much with the Reds. Now with the Nationals he has one of the best hitters in Baseball with Harper, and he will most likely ruin him to.

Also Baker was known to be kind of a ass in Chicago, and he favored certain players. I do agree if a white Manager had said what Baker said he would have been fired quickly, and branded the next Jimmy the Greek but seeing he is not White he will get a pass.

I really do not like the ass and before anyone write I am being a idiot I am a Cubs fan that thought Don Baylor was fired too quickly and Baker was the wrong man for the job and am happy Joe Maddon is now the manager.

If ethnicities have advantages/disadvantages then that should be accepted. This 'everyone's the same' mantra is holding back progress. If everyone's really equal, why is basketball overwhelmingly black?

Early in the last decade....A college football coach Fisher DeBerry got blasted by liberals for saying the EXACT SAME thing as head coach at Air Force Academy. Asked how USAFA could compete with power programs like Oklahoma and Nebraska....he said they need more minorities. And he was blasted by the media.

Something says this won't be the same. Someone ask Dusty Baker why white coaches are so much better at winning.
