Being FORCED to stock up on essentials...

There was someone on TV last night stipulating that the purchasing of T.P. and cleaning items will slow down and the shelves will be full within a couple of weeks. In fact they may stay that way for a while because of the massive purchasing of said products. But he did say that higher tech products like TV's and Computers and the like may be in short supply because they come from overseas. A lot comes from China.

Went to Food Lion today and everything was normal with food shelves fully stocked and the normal customer base for a Thursday except that the T.P. shelf was empty. I recall an incident where the old Johnny Carson show in 1973 crated a T.P. shortage with a comedy skit. As the late great Sonny Bono would say "the beat goes on".
Its not just you

Toilet paper is flying off the shelves and I cant figure out why
People are apparently afraid that at some point they will have to be quarantined for two to three weeks and want to be sure that they don't have to start wiping their derrieres with their hands, like they do in the Arab nations.
Libs should think of it as their way to save more trees

When Venezuela first started it's collapse the very first indication was that there was no toilet paper.. No stores had any the warehouses were empty. People must have some memory of that.

Buying is a way to stay in control. No one really thinks that the water faucets suddenly won't work or truck drivers will all be too sick to deliver toilet paper to stores. It's something to do to keep control of your surroundings.

This will be substantially over by April 1.
I'm going to get a snap shot of this and post a reminder when 1APR20 arrives. From that day forward that day will be known as Tipsy Day instead of Fools day.

And now he's stuck with it.

"On March 1, the day after the first coronavirus death in the United States, brothers Matt and Noah Colvin set out in a silver S.U.V. to pick up some hand sanitizer. Driving around Chattanooga, Tenn., they hit a Dollar Tree, then a Walmart, a Staples and a Home Depot. At each store, they cleaned out the shelves..."

These people should be able to sell their items for whatever price they want. If the person buying them is willing to pay, why is it YOUR concern?

Scalping in a manufactured crisis is immoral
we arent in a manufactured crisis,,,
Of course we are.

We would not be seeing these shortages if Obama were president today, any more than there were shortages in 2009.

The only difference is the Democrat MSM has a president to take down.

/---/ Because the MSM wouldn't have manufactured a crisis. They protected Obozo.

Actually, he can, and probably will, sell them on Amazon, but he will have competition and will have to sell his stock at fair market value
