University of California: Berkeley has been a hotbed of hyper-partisan, hyper-Leftist intellectually-driven elitism for decades.

I do not blame the Student Body at-large; at least, not as the primary culprits; they are merely the latest in a long line of generations of elitist, privileged children to be misled by a hyper-Leftist faculty and institution while luxuriating in their parents' money... although they must share the burden of any reaction to their repressive behaviors.

It would be best for the social and political and cultural life of The Republic if a metaphorical flame-thrower were turned on the place, and present faculty kicked to the curb.

Time to balance the hyper-Leftists on that faculty and board with equal numbers of Liberals, Centrists and Conservatives, to free that school of its present Leftist control.

Time for a metaphorical Staffing Enema - for both its front-line teaching and research staff, and, most especially, its Board of Trustees.

A long line of offenses by the University and its Student Body against Free Speech have convinced a great many Americans that a sea-change is needed there.

Then again, it's Kalipornia - the Land of Fruits and Nuts - and that's never gonna happen.

Perhaps an excuse and a way can be found to deny Berkeley any Federal funding which it presently enjoys, as Middle America's way of saying "Thank you" to the Leftist scum at Berkeley, for repeated attempts on the part of the University and its Student Body to suppress Free Speech.

Right in the assumption wrong in the understanding. I think the electoral college is old and out of date. Its failure to provide the safety net it was created to provide shows its udder uselessness in modern society. As it stands now, people in cali lets say- have a weaker vote than someone in wyoming. That 1 wyoming vote counts for triple that 1 cali vote. The only fair way to do it is one person one vote. Popular vote wins. Everyone's vote will weigh the same. Cali and NY have higher populations but that doesn't mean they will control the outcome. Everyone would have an equal voice.
