The (entirely legal) mechanisms Amazon uses

No one argues it isn't. I am arguing it is unfair as not all businesses will get the same breaks and subsidies. Do you support the government picking winners and losers in business or should there be a level playing field?

ALL legal tax deductions can be used by all businesses.

A legal write off is not a subsidy.

What states do in order to get businesses to operate within their borders has nothing to do with federal income taxes.

So maybe you can tell me exactly what subsidies the federal government gives Amazon

Another dishonest reply.

That doesn't mean anything nor does it negate the fact that 3 trillion dollars was transferred from small business to big box stores. Millions of small businesses across the US were forced to close.

and they're still closing......

Not my link. You're not a dictionary. Legal tax avoidance is still avoidance. Cry all you want.
You posted the link so it's your link.

And if legal tax deductions are "avoidance" then you are guilty of it too

So tell me then exactly what subsidies does the federal government give Amazon?

I already posted one stating how we subsidize their shipping. People spin it and pretend the link isn't even there but whatever........................

It's not like it's a secret that many, many, many love the socialist types of programs for the rich.

International:
State and Local:
Will you ever do your own goddamn homework instead of just reacting like a stuck pig?

I'm not going back through 8 pages to look for one example.

Foreign governments and what they do aren't any of our concern

State and local governments are not the federal government. Each state can decide for itself whatit wants to do.

So tell me what FEDERAL subsidies does Amazon get?

No. Do your own homework.

And "international" somehow excludes the U.S. in your brain?

And I'm not going to constantly repeat myself because people are too lazy to catch themselves up.
I looked it up myself and that isn't a subsidy. it's the post office trying to compete with UPS and FedEx by offering a competitive price.

Besides Amazon is building its own delivery services and pretty soon won't need to use 3rd party shipping.

and then there is this

"The Postal Regulatory Commission has consistently found that Amazon's contracts with the USPS are profitable," the company told Fortune last year.

No, it's an outdated price just as the article states........but again, that was one instance.
