Bernie Sanders’s campaign has filed a lawsuit against Ohio’s secretary of state to allow 17-year olds to vote in the Democratic primary on March 15, according to a CNN report.

Sanders’s campaign manager told reporters in Michigan on Tuesday that Republican Jon Husted, who is Ohio’s secretary of State, has changed the rules to make it so that those who are currently 17, but will be 18 by the time of the November general election, cannot vote in the state’s primaries.

The law in Ohio allows 17 year olds whom will be 18 at the time of the General Election to vote in the primaries. The Threshold Voter Law and The Ohio Revised Code states as much. The Sect. of State released an election manual telling them to disregard those votes.

Teens in Ohio as well as Sanders are suing to allow those votes to count.

The law letting 17-year-olds (who will by 18-years-old by the time of the general election) vote in the primary race in Ohio has been in place since 1981.

Now, Ohio's Secretary of State, republican Jon Husted, has changed the rules to disenfranchise those voters.

Parenthetically, one might note that the granting of voting rights to 18-year-olds was a horrible mistake, and based on the fact that DURING THE VIETNAM WAR, it was possible for 18-21-year-olds to fight and die for their country, yet not be eligible to vote - which was deemed patently UNFAIR.

Now, however, many 18-21-year-olds are barely weaned - and a microscopic portion of them are financially emancipated, so giving them the right to vote in this day and age results in electoral absurdities, to wit, Bernie Sanders.

Sen. Sanders is wrong to suggest that the concept of the ghetto is inextricably connected to Black America, just as he was wrong to yet again defend his NRA-backed position on guns.

Fulton's statement continued: "We need a president who understands black families don't all live in ghettos -- and who has a plan to end the racial violence that too often plagues families like mine."
