Bernie Sanders: We Will Raise Taxes On Anyone Making Over $29,000 To Fund Government Health Care

This thread is the very definition of Fake News.

Can you explain how so, or was yours a fake statement?

The Democratic Debate Over 'Medicare For All' And Middle-Class Taxes, Explained

It's misleading to just say taxes are going up. Because those increases will be more than offset by the complete removal of healthcare premiums, co-pays and minimal prescription drug costs. Leaving out the full statement is creating Fake News.

It is downright laughable that you actually believe this. The government can't even deliver the fucking mail without pissing red ink all over the place, and you think they'll be able to optimally budget the multi-trillion dollar industry that is healthcare?

You don't smart so good, do you...

How many times has the banking industry needed bailed out? We should trust private industry?

When private industry runs into trouble, they simply can't borrow the money like the federal government can.

The point is, private industry screws up also. Boeing tossed safety aside for the almighty dollar. Is that what we want running health care?

They didn't bail them out in the 30s, eh?

How'd that work out?

They failed badly. That's the point.

To be fair, Sanders points out that the monetary benefit of the free health insurance that low-income people would receive would far outweigh the tax increase they would incur to help pay for it. IOW, they would be better off financially by getting free health insurance and paying a small tax increase than they are under the current system.

No....

We want congress.....

The same group that is currently running the impeachment hearings.

The same group that continues to allow the deficit to baloon.

The same group that has constitutents like Maxine Waters and AOC.

Yes, we want congress.....

Unless we can round up 100 homeless people and let them run it.....they'd do a better job.

The poor are a problem because Democrats can't do anything without mixing politics into it.

As we all know, there are good doctors and not so good doctors; good hospitals and not so good hospitals. In general, people with good insurance get the better doctors and institutions while the poor get the not so good ones.

Okay, so now we get government healthcare. Does anybody think the poor will stick with their not so good doctors and hospitals? Of course not, they would want our doctors and hospitals. Everybody wants the best doctors and institutions, so that means somebody would have to decide who goes where.

Democrats get leadership of our federal government. Do you really think they are going to continue letting their voters go to the less than satisfactory institutions? Hell no, that's where they'll make Republicans go.

So how did government running healthcare turn out last time? They spent nearly a billion dollars just for a website.

Our prices didn't go down like promised, they went up. The lower cost plans available were the crappy plans DumBama spoke against. All plans had to include free birth control, as if a 55 year old woman needs birth control. Some have lost their hospitals, some lost their doctors. Millions lost their employer sponsored health insurance. None of this was supposed to happen.

So yes, I do have much more faith in the private market than government. Call ObamaCare sometime. You'll consider it your lucky day if you can get a person that speaks fluent English.

I mentioned determinant outcomes in this thread before, it is not that difficult to predict an outcome when you know the components.
The way it will go is easy... much like in many sci-fi movies, there will be 2 levels of healthcare.
Healthcare for those that can afford to pay what the government won't pay for, and healthcare for those that can't.
And the difference will be very dramatic.
Elitism is the outcome of leftism.

And we don't have to look any further than Commie Care. If you don't make squat, or work part-time, the plans are easily affordable. If you do make an average living, the plans are nearly unaffordable.

But the low income workers generally vote Democrat. The middle-class generally vote more Republican. The plan was designed to reward Democrat voters and penalize all others.

Democrats are like that. You are either with them on their "holy crusade" to loot the taxpayer until the US is bankrupt, or they hate you and call you names....

Remember the Capital city in the movie Hunter Games?
That is a world the Hillary/Obama/AOC's of the world really want.
They are elitist, they want to control everything...and act like Gods to "take care of the little people"... meanwhile they live a very different kind of life.

How many times has the banking industry needed bailed out? We should trust private industry?

How many times has the banking industry needed bailed out?

They didn't bail them out in the 30s, eh?

How'd that work out?

They failed badly. That's the point.

And in the 30s, a third of them went away.

How'd that work out?

That's what is supposed to happen in free market capitalism is it not?

Excellent! A third of banks disappearing is a good idea. Wow!

Has nothing to do with being a good idea. That is how free market capitalism works, right?

Or do you believe in the government stepping in and helping them out?

Widespread bank failures helped the little guy, right?

Government was the problem in the first place when it came to the housing collapse. They should have helped out since they caused the problem.

Avoid the question if you must. Seems you must.

They were a part of the problem. Their biggest error was in removing regulations. But they were a part of the problem. Quid pro quos between business and elected officials probably are never a good thing.

Which regulations were removed and how would they have prevented the crisis if they had remained?
