Loving big government would not only hinder his performance, it would wreck America.

imo, he lacks the introspection to see the lies as lies. He's selling an idea, just like a casino project. His task is finding what the people in the room need to hear to say yes. What he says is only important in terms of they're saying yes or no.

Actually, most politicians are also serial liars. The actual difference is that Trump is a closer, while politicians are promoters. We have to look at this in terms of salespeople. In some instances sales is a matter of continually selling and reselling to the same people. This is what most politicians do. They are constantly selling and reselling themselves to the public so they can be reelected. Their lies are in the same vane as someone from Comcast Cable. They constantly buff and polish the same old turds.

Trump is a different kind of salesperson. Real estate, car sales, midget hookers....these are things that a given individual buys infrequently, and a different sales approach is used. In this case grandiose, even outrageous, lies can be made because it's all about the close. Once you close the deal it doesn't matter anymore. These kinds of products have very little repeat business, if any. Hence the ABC concept: Always Be Closing. You do anything to close the deal. Once you have, you can wash your hands of it because satisfaction does not matter.

This is why people talk about Trump being a flash in the pan. Because anyone who is educated and/or worldly enough recognizes his style for being built on driving someone to sign a dotted line, while he doesn't actually give a shit about making sure you're going to be happy with your purchase afterwards.
