Biblical Plagues: Apologetics Cues

The Bible describes various plagues that afflict the wayward empire of Ancient Egypt.

These plagues are proportional to the deeds of men.

The Book of Revelation describes more plagues unleashed by a pale horse during the end of days. These plagues too are proportional to the deeds of men.

Hollywood (USA) films such as "American Psycho" [2000] and "World War Z" [2013] obviously reveal a civilization sensitivity to confusing behaviour. Are we as a species prepared for cataclysms that will awaken us to our mismanagement of the Earth?

The FDA was established to control and detect the presence of deadly food poisoning (i.e., salmonella) in our age of industrialization and mass consumerism.

The EPA was established to monitor human activity in our age of rapid natural resource use.

It seems we need to be in touch with our own sense of mortality, consumption, and ambition.

The plagues/afflictions described in the Bible are truly horrible --- flesh-eating viruses, locusts, insane animals, poisoned seas, beastly men, etc.

People like chicken little, have been saying the sky is falling, the end is coming, for millennia

Focus on today and tomorrow ................. sky looks good to me.
