Biden gang shuts down the largest producer of baby formula in the US causing a national crisis

so, should the FDA wait for a few months till they know for sure if the deaths were related to the factory issues? how many dead babies would be enough for you to think the action was justified

10?

100?
Actually Gator----you poor thing. They shut the plant down after the incident was Reported MONTHS earlier and the bacteria used to shut down the plant which wasn't the same as the bacteria that made the babies sick was discovered. MONTHS LATER. The biden administration does stupid upon stupid.

Oh and fyi---I had my 8 and 9 grandbaby (my first bio and 8 step grand) last summer a couple of months apart---my 10th grand is on the way. I can tell you that mothers and grandmothers on both sides of the isle everywhere are pist off and know that fucking Biden is to blame....

You aren't going to be able to spin this shit....

Actually they found that the supposed bacteria that caused the infants deaths WERE NOT the bacteria found in the plant. They shut the plant down for no reason. Bidens whole group is inept and/or corrupt---

Not exactly no reason.

How America's largest baby formula plant ceased production

September 2021: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration conducted a four-day inspection of the Abbott Laboratories plant in Sturgis, Michigan.

The inspection report revealed the plant 'did not maintain' clean and sanitary conditions in at least one building that manufactured, processed, packaged or held baby formula.

FDA officials also observed poor hand washing among Abbott plant staff who 'worked directly with infant formula.'

The FDA also noted an instance of improper equipment maintenance and temperature control

.....

The agency alleged the plant failed to ensure that all surfaces that contact infant formula were maintained to prevent cross-contamination.

The report states the facility 'did not establish a system of process controls' to ensure the baby formula 'does not become adulterated due to the presence of microorganisms in the formula or the processing environment.'

Officials also alleged the plant failed to disclose in an investigation report whether a health hazard existed at the facility.

Additionally, the report stated plant workers were did not wear the 'necessary protective material' when working directly with infant formula

Yes really. If say there was some sort of peanut product in there that was not supposed to be, they would shut it down and make sure it was removed.

This lays it out pretty well.

Seems like a lot of issues, but just like health inspections at restaurants some of the standards are basically impossible to actually maintain, and you will get dinged no matter what.

Doesn't matter if it was the cause or not. They inspected the plant looking for a specific contaminant, and found several contaminants that could be deadly. Those contaminants had to be cleaned up, no matter if they caused that specific problem or not.

Now inspect every single other plant and see if you find the same thing. The problem with a lot of regulations is they are written by lawyers and not people actually involved in the manufacturing process.

Oh there were reasons, but I can wonder if the shutdown was egged on by the deaths over routine inspection issues you would find at other plants of the same type.

Poor management at the plant in question, but the fact that this happened in February and the plant is still shut down makes me wonder if the issue is the plant, or the regulators, or the regulations themselves.

You're just searching for something to whine about.

You're just searching for something to whine about.

Trying to put the findings at the plant in perspective compared to the rest of the industry, and trying to figure why the shutdown has gone on for months.

Is it company incompetence, or bureaucratic inertia, or a split of both?

Trust your Gov. LOL they love you so much they take care of you in ways you can’t even see bahhahahahaha.

LOLOL

Obama shut it down, did he? :cuckoo:

Seems like some people only care about the lives of babies before they’re born! The article mentions babies dying, but the OP acts as if the shutdown was some nefarious plot by the Biden administration. Hypocrites!
Biden is also sending pallets of baby formula for illegals at the border. You loons don't care about anything, but your agenda.

No comment on the content of the OP?

Yeah, didn't think so...

LOL

Really? You need a commentary on the content? It was shut down because Abbott "failed to maintain sanitary conditions and procedures at the facility."
