Biden gang shuts down the largest producer of baby formula in the US causing a national crisis

Everything that Potatohead does turns to shit.

Of course as we found out today the piece of shit is shipping pallets of baby formula to the goddamn Illegals that criminally trespassing into this country, while American chldren have to do without.

Trust your Gov. LOL they love you so much they take care of you in ways you can’t even see bahhahahahaha.

8% inflation, record gas and diesel prices, markets falling apart, product shortages... now baby formula

Must have been "81 million" complete morons

And if the deaths turn out to be unrelated to the issues at the factory, then panic has been created for nothing.

so, should the FDA wait for a few months till they know for sure if the deaths were related to the factory issues? how many dead babies would be enough for you to think the action was justified

10?

100?

The thing is 4 sick kids and 2 deaths is a tragedy, but with a contamination problem worthy of an entire plant shutdown, you would think there would be more attributable illnesses if the plant as a whole was indeed the source of the contamination.

Now you have a risk of panic and over-reaction.

If say 12 infants die due to car accidents caused by parents frantically searching for formula caused by the shutdown, which deaths matter more?

Welcome to risk analysis.

You really don't know until you know. In the case I referenced, they chased that issue all the way up and down the chain until they figured it out. When they first did the deep cleanse and it came back again, they started testing every single ingredient to see if it was coming in that way.

Well the formula maker insulted everyone with their
Baby Lives Matter
Babies Love Milk

Well right now we are seeing the impact of a shutdown.

should we ban all cars for 1 traffic death?

do we even know if it was the cause or not?

your question is a gotcha question. If one baby dies due to an allergic reaction to the formula do we suspend manufacturing of the formula entirely?

It would depend on if that allergic reaction was due to something that was not supposed to be in the formula or not

Really?

the thing is they found issues with the plant, haven't said if it was actual issues or paperwork issues, haven't said if the contamination was of the lethal strain in question or wasn't, and the resulting shutdown (for months?) is currently causing a crisis.

Yes really. If say there was some sort of peanut product in there that was not supposed to be, they would shut it down and make sure it was removed.

This lays it out pretty well.

The inspection report revealed the plant 'did not maintain' clean and sanitary conditions in at least one building that manufactured, processed, packaged or held baby formula.

FDA officials also observed poor hand washing among Abbott plant staff who 'worked directly with infant formula.'

The FDA also noted an instance of improper equipment maintenance and temperature control

.....

The agency alleged the plant failed to ensure that all surfaces that contact infant formula were maintained to prevent cross-contamination.

The report states the facility 'did not establish a system of process controls' to ensure the baby formula 'does not become adulterated due to the presence of microorganisms in the formula or the processing environment.'

Officials also alleged the plant failed to disclose in an investigation report whether a health hazard existed at the facility.

Additionally, the report stated plant workers were did not wear the 'necessary protective material' when working directly with infant formula

Doesn't matter if it was the cause or not. They inspected the plant looking for a specific contaminant, and found several contaminants that could be deadly. Those contaminants had to be cleaned up, no matter if they caused that specific problem or not.

Is this really the hill you want to die on?? This is from your link….

In February, the FDA warned parents not to use certain popular powdered infant formulas manufactured at Abbott’s Sturgis plant after receiving four reports of infants who were hospitalized with bacterial infections after consuming formula from the facility. Two of the infants died.

Abbott subsequently issued a recall of all potentially affected products manufactured at the facility and the FDA later shut down the plant after federal safety inspectors found Abbott failed to maintain sanitary conditions and procedures at the facility.
Why is the filthy ass Federal government sending pallets and pallets of baby formula to the goddamn Illegals instead of making it available to Americans?

What the hell is the matter with this Potatohead piece of shit? He needs to get some Mega MAGA because he is fucking up.

Actually they found that the supposed bacteria that caused the infants deaths WERE NOT the bacteria found in the plant. They shut the plant down for no reason. Bidens whole group is inept and/or corrupt---

How about instead of car crashes, mother suicides due to not being able to get formula?
They reported today on Fox business that this was indeed the case---the bacteria at the plant were NOT the bacteria that made the babies sick.
