I tend to agree with you. Apparently Biden will have a relatively unimportant short speaking opportunity on the first night of the DNC Convention but it will be strictly scripted and he will be under strict orders not to deviate from it.

But in Hollie 's defense, I hear from the 'anonymous sources' that they are even hedging their bets about that and if they think he'll go off their script they'll find a reason just to sort of overlook him that night. He will have no other role in the Convention. It is even uncertain whether he will be there at all or they may just use a videotape which would guarantee he won't go off script.

It is said he and Jill plan to pretty much boycott the Convention.

This is the man who is supposed to be in charge of the nuclear football for the next five months.
