The fact that gas went up so high, with claims that we needed new refineries, needed to drill baby drill, and blaming the cancellation of the Keystone pipeline is pretty amusing now. Since we built no new refineries and the Keystone pipeline is still where is was in 2020.

But the oil companies posted record profits (and profit margins) for the past few years.

The sooner someone can find a good, practical, affordable greener replacement or even just a good substitute to help improve the capacity, more power to them.
