As usual, and for the 5th year in a row, there was no story in the NY Times print edition on the annual March for Life against abortion in Washington, D.C., which every year draws massive crowds in usually bad weather. The Times, along with almost all mainstream media, did not feature an actual news story of the thousands who marched in frigid weather.

Pro-life demonstrators from around the world crowded the National Mall on Thursday during the 42nd annual March for Life. Flags and signs from Brazil, the Netherlands, Italy and the Caribbean mingled with banners from across the 50 states as activists marched from the Washington Monument to the Supreme Court.

Killing unborn babies has been an anathema since the days of Socrates.

The Romans just took their unwanted babies outside the cities and abandoned them to the wolves. It was an ancient practice on whose principle was based the foundation myth of Rome itself: Romulus and Remus, the male infants adopted by a she-wolf. They didn't kill the children on the highly unlikely, but possible chance that some passer-by might take pity and adopt them. It happened, but the odds were long.

The traditional way of murdering children was to tie their ankles together and bash their heads against something hard..unless they had reached puberty, then they were raped(can't) kill a virgin,,,,they killed by any means available...

Children were often sacrificed to various gods throughout history. The sacrificed them to obtain things like fertility, prosperity, a good military outcome etc.

Today we do the same, we sacrifice our offspring all in the name of better financial position in order to obtain things, including the lifestyle we may not want to give up.

Shrug. We are selfish creatures with a taste for genocide. Some things never change.
