Agreed- the resolution had no legal value.

But Congress is who has to approve the election of any President- and the Senate was signaling that they considered McCain to be a natural born citizen and that would not be an issue if he were elected.

The fact that his mother is an American Citizen should have some bearing on her sons citizenship.

Panama was NOT under U.S. control when John McCain was born there over a year before. Panama is NOT under U.S. control now.

It does not matter whose control Panama was under. A child born to at least one American parent is a US citizen.

That was a "non-binding resolution" in 2008 & is not legally binding. There was not an American base where McCain was born until a year later.

It doesn't matter. He could have been born on Moscow in a city hospital. As long as one of his parents is a US citizen, the child is also a US citizen at birth.

We know of course that his birth was announced in two Hawaiian newspapers in 1961. After that there is a lull until 1990- when young Barack Obama was interviewed by most of the major newspapers because he was the first African American selected to be the head of the Harvard Law Review

Okay....can you cite anyone or anything that indicates Obama said he was born in Kenya before 1990? At this point you are backing your claims with nothing more than your ability to type them. And given you couldn't back up your SSN claim, or your claim that Obama's dad said he was born in Kenya.......you citing you isn't exactly the most reliable source.

This is why no one takes birthers seriously. They make half-assed accusations they can't back up, they ignore overwhelmingly contrary evidence, and they flee when challenged to produce the slightest evidence.
