But instead of raising their sabers to the sky, as they did in another photo without controversy, the black student-officers sparked a mini-tempest by raising their fists at a school with a predominantly white and male student population.

Some active-duty officers and army veterans have complained that the pose seemed to violate Pentagon rules on avoiding political activity by paying tribute to the black nationalism of the civil rights-era Black Panthers group or to the militant tone of the present-day Black Lives Matter protests against police abuses.

But others raised their voice in defense of the women, saying that they were more "Beyonce" than "Black Panther."

Poor victims up there making a political statement while in uniform. Not that the left care about "the uniform" since they hate everything about America.

The symbolic deterioration of America continues all to the delight of the dumbest group of people in the world.

American socialists.

Pathetic blobs and the vision of Obamerica continues.

If they violated regulations, they should be held to account.

Of course, the real discussion to be had is why do we still have an anachronism like West Point where we spend $400,000 to produce one O-1 grade officer, when you can do it just as well with OCS for a fraction of the cost.

It's sad when a thread says more about the OP than it does about the topic. In this case it that he is a reprihensible human being.

It is a disgrace.
While in uniform you have but one allegiance... the Constitution of the United States.

I believe it is actually illegal to make political stances while in uniform.

Federal Law (Titles 10, 2, and 18, United States Code),Department of Defense (DOD) Directives, and specific military regulations strictly specify a military active duty person's participation in partisan political activities.

DOD defines "partisan political activity" as "activity supporting or relating to candidates representing, or issues specifically identified with, national or State political parties and associated or ancillary organizations."

About the United States Code

I would laugh if every last one of those things were sent to prison for their pathetic display.

Hi hypocrite. You are a loser. I am glad you are all "down with the cause."

Poor little victims aren't they?

You, are nothing but a disgraceful patronizing racist. You are nothing but a race dividing water carrier for the decommiecrats. That is all.

You are absolutely nothing. The funny thing is how smart you think you are. All while being a little puppet.

You are the one who is absolutely nothing. I take that back. You are something, and that something and only thing that you are is a punk ass, anonymous internet message board poster.

Because the Academy USED TO provide individual with scientific and engineering skills that were valuable to this nation. As we now see, it has become no better than other leftist campuses.

These cadets should be denied their diplomas and entry into the US Army as officers. They have clearly shown their disdain for the Oath of Office.

If whites did a similar affirmation to white power they would be kicked out the academy and the story would be front page for a decade.

Black students do this and no discipline and no press. I guarantee the superiors are too afraid of the negative press labeling them as racist and the long arm of Obama destroying them.

Yet the RIGHT thing to do would be to kick them all out of the academy!

When did they do that? The thing about it is, yeah, I guess when they let women and coloreds in, it became less of an old boys club. But the reality- most of the Army's officers come through ROTC and OCS, even in peace time.

These cadets should be denied their diplomas and entry into the US Army as officers. They have clearly shown their disdain for the Oath of Office.

How did they do that, other than offending your lily-white sensibilities?

I have yet to tell me what regulation these cadets actually might have broken, exactly.

They did not have to break any regulations. What they did was show a form of racism which NO member of the military of the United States should be showing while in uniform or representing this country.

If you cant understand that, than there is no amount of explanation which will satisfy your ilk.

where do you read "Racism" into that picture?

I bet I could show you a bunch of pictures of athletes with clenched fists...

so you don't have an answer then, eh?

I am no longer going to waste my time with you or your ilk. I have better things to do.
