They have only analyzed the metadata and as the NYPD and FBI assigned agents look into the actual texts of the emails, nothing will prevent the FBI from again re-opening their investigation into a Clinton facet of it if they find such evidence.

She had a Senior IT staffer working at the state department who set it up for her and maintained it. One would think that a Senior IT staffer working at the State Department would have known that it was against protocol to do that. I imagine it's because he had set up others, and it was never an issue until now.

Republican attacks have become a way of life for Clinton with each one morphing into a new one. The Clinton Foundation is the newest, which grew out of the email server investigation, which sprang out of the Benghazi investigation. When the Clinton Foundation investigation dies for lack of interest as they all do eventually, Republicans will find another one.

When Hillary is 6 feet under, there will still be investigations by Republicans in Congress, Judicial Watch or some other conservative group out to finally get Hillary.

You're absolutely correct, the FBI can't just go on a fishing expedition through hundreds of thousands of emails looking for wrong doing. The computer belong to Anthony Weiner which was used by his wife, Huma Abedin, a Clinton aid now separated from Weiner. Supposedly, Abedin used Weiner's computer and there were emails from or too her which could be of interest to the email investigation. Probably the FBI investigators used software to pull all emails written to or from her to be reviewed. Comey said these emails were either personal or were duplicates of what they already had. So unless something new comes up, that will end of the investigation.

But it matters naught in the long run.... I'm certain the FBI know, and however it happened was not changing their initial stance so it couldn't have been bad or that bad....

Also, I don't think it is right for our law enforcement/intelligence agencies to even talk about an investigation case in the public unless giving reason for bringing charges against someone...
