If we're using the mail then we allow a week or an acceptable time frame for delivery and we make sure our ballots are mailed in that time frame so that they can be counted by election day. Nothing gets counted after midnight unless it is a recount. There has to be a set date when the election is actually over and that should be election day. Democrats want to keep on letting people vote forever until they get enough votes to win because they seem quite good at finding boxes and boxes of uncounted ballots after the election is over. There has to be a drop dead date and time. You can't let voters know that your team is losing so we're going to let people keep on voting. If you lose then you lose and that goes for BOTH sides. If we let people keep on voting because one side is losing then the election would never be over.
