he didn't go to paddock's door, paddock had the end suite along with an adjoining room, the end suite door had the view of the entire hallway... the shooter had motion detector cameras set up on a room service cart and his door...What led the guard to Paddocks door since shooting had not started? This is turning into a lying mess

The Airplane Mechanic has "been keeping up" plenty good. We have a Guard w/o radio contact...? shot on the 32nd floor by 200 rounds fired out of a Hotel room through the door. That is a very big deal. This was going on and the Police "were searching" the Hotel? WTH?
No one called the front desk? There were other guests too right next door and below also. The valet had alerted Security to breaking glass falling from above also.
A MAINT worker came up too and the Guard stopped him short. WTH? Did they not think 200 rounds from AK47 fired down the hallway was a big deal? What Gun fired those rounds? They went through the room door? Silent shots?
something is wrong here. THEN he was able to fire out the window onto the crowd. What did they do? Lay there and listen? Anybody think to radio the "boss"? WTH?
The thing "that's wrong here" is your understanding of a SWAT response. They cannot just RUSH to the 32nd floor. They need to build evac and defensive positions and "clear" the floors below.. It's a HUGE building. You don't know where the problems might be.

While that may all be correct, the Sheriff himself seems to contradict your ideas, I in that he said they have a special team in place used to quickly reapond to events like these to "stop the actions of the perp", instead of waiting for a safe ingress into his position. True, he was, but that is a huge building. Putting together the pieces to target an assault on only one room was likely not easy or quick.That was about blocking some emergency exit, but yes!
