It's how goods and vehicles were moved across the waterway before the bridge was built.

Until those ferries are sunk. Rapid transportation of goods cannot occur now. This slows the movement of supplies. Last time I checked the bridges were about 500 times faster than ferries. Those ferries are now targets, slow moving targets.

The waterway between Russia and Crimea the ferry boats use is much narrower than the span where the bridge crosses. So crossing times should be fairly quick.

Its basic war strategy... They are called supply lines for a reason. They killed the ones in Russia and now they killed the ones in the south. They broke the mail front line of the Russians and now they are crushing them as whole divisions of Russian soldiers are surrendering.

It would not surprise me if someone in Russia takes out Putin. He is now losing badly and that will not set well with him.
