You have to look at the research.....criminals are not normal people who get a gun and then suddenly decide to rob someone or murder someone...because they now have a gun. This is the mistake that the anti gunners make...they attribute more violence or less violence to the presence or absence of guns...and that is not reality.

Criminals who use guns have histories of violence and convictions for crime, more than likely from the time they are teenagers....normal people without a history of violence or crime will not suddenly manifest it because they get a gun.

Japan is always confusing because of their gun laws......anti gunners think that Japan has less crime because law abiding Japanese have less access to guns.....and this isn't the case. It is the Japanese culture that is less criminal in nature.....all crime in Japan is low...because of their culture....group guilt, obligation to society.....and the criminals in Japan want to make money....not murder each other over insults on face book.

You could put a gun in every Amish home in the United STates....and their gun crime rate would not change.....culture...not access to guns.

Race is not really the issue but I will use it here only because it is an obvious point....

More Whites own guns....but they commit far less gun crime and gun murder.

Fewer blacks own guns...but they commit far more gun crime and gun murder.

It isn't race.....it is single teenage mothers trying to raise young males....without fathers in the home.

That is why you have more violence in Britain...but less gun murder....their criminal culture does not commit murder as often....so far....but that is changing....their social system for creating law abiding citizens is breaking down......that is why they had a 4% increase in gun crime...and why they are arming more police....and why more criminals are actually shooting at police...with fully automatic weapons......
