I don't believe it's a criminal offense in California to speak your mind. At least not in that way.

Anyone familiar with UC Davis will know that those kinds of sentiments are pervasive in the campus town outside of Sacramento. A town that, back in the early '80s, tried to ban automobiles.

It could be a benefit for the University in attracting the kind of students they most desire.
