The market will always do well, no matter who's in office.....the rich got rich for a reason. But other than that, what the hell has this guy done that is so damn great that he's taking credit for what?

Illegals are scared, so they're not coming as much....but that was happening way before Agent Orange came on the scene....no jobs.

Jobs being created? That was happening long before Agent Orange....27 consecutive months, thus far

Uh, I just don't see anything this baboon has done, any ideas out there?

Hi tigerred59
1. If you are against liberal media defining the narrative to be anti-cop, pro-LGBT, pro-govt health care, etc.
then you would see Trump as the first leader to stand up the media
and try to beat them at their own games.

If you align with the liberal media, you would see this as war,
and think the point is to shut down Trump and opposition from the right.

2. If you are against Obama and Democrats pushing health insurance mandates through federal govt "as the only choice," you would see this change to give taxpayers back freedom and civil liberties to CHOOSE how to pay and provide for health care as a WELCOME relief.

So it depends on your viewpoint if you see Trump as good or bad.

3. Same with immigration policy....

????
Trump only addressed Congress last month,
and started working out reforms on the ACA that has complicated things for YEARS.

Taking on immigration, do you expect a GOOD solution to be overnight?
a GOOD solution would take a LONG time to work out with all the areas that this touches.

If you want fast easy answers SORRY BULLDOG
That's what you get with Obama just passing ACA to look like he got something done.
But now Congress has to fix it because it was rushed through with major flaws and conflicts.

And Trump could make the SAME mistake or similar by pushing his WALL idea as a quick "see I got something done" instead of TAKING TIME to develop a sustainable solution.

You really want to rush this?

I guess you come from the school of thought
that Obama deserves the Nobel prize just for getting elected
because that "REPRESENTED change and inspired a lot of people."
Well so did Trump, by beating the liberal media to win an election they slated for Clinton. But he doesn't count that the way Obama
got applauded for it, who by the way, admitted he didn't deserve
the Nobel next to other candidates.

If you only count the dollars you are reducing on one side of the equation, and not counting the investment it's going to take to REALLY replace and reform things to be sustainable, sure you can cite just that part that reinforces your beliefs!

Aren't both sides into that game? BULLDOG
Selectively citing and justifying to back up what they want to believe and argue?

For some, President Trump could follow their instructions, to the letter, and he would still be vilified. For some, regardless of what President Trump does, or does not do, he will be vilified. Why? He is not Hillary, nor is he Barney. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. I'm just pleased to finally have someone in the office who cares about AMERICA and AMERICANS, someone who could give a flying f**k what the left (or the right) thinks of him as he does what he thinks is best to pull this (once) great nation back from the brink of ignominy.

"Can somebody please explain to me ...anything...?"

Doubtful

And people say Trump is crazy! this must be the Fast food generation for sure, what are we placing our order in a drive through window? Damn, people want results right now before Trump even has his cabinet in place. Meanwhile the MEDIA and the democrats from day one have been slinging mud on the wall to see if anything would stick. Unfortunantly for the Republicans and trump they fell for some of those bullying tactics.

Lots of right wing bragging about Trump lowering the debt by 12 billion. I'm just asking how exactly he did that.

The average movie solves a conflict from beginning to end in less than 2 hours.

People look at music stars on TV and think "anyone can do that." It messes up people's perceptions.

Now, it is good when people can look at Obama and say "hey, it's not totally impossible" and they start taking school and politics seriously as something they can get involved in and get somewhere.

But if you think it's instant, that the President can just wave a magic wand and make things happen, sorry if it were that simple, we'd have solved our nation's problems quickly with just a stroke of a pen.

There's a lot of education and "realization" work to get from point A to point B.

If people KNEW how much work it takes, how much stretching and teamwork it takes from all sides pulling together to make good solutions happen, we wouldn't waste another second fighting over it. We'd be too busy scrambling to get the best ideas together, to correct problems, and enlist the best leaders to implement solutions in every area in need of reform.

so just by people's attitudes, you can tell they don't understand how much work it really takes, or we'd all be jumping in to help.

the Nobel next to other candidates.

So how do you explain all the right wingers glowing claims about how Trump has reduced the debt?

If you only count the dollars you are reducing on one side of the equation, and not counting the investment it's going to take to REALLY replace and reform things to be sustainable, sure you can cite just that part that reinforces your beliefs!

Aren't both sides into that game? BULLDOG
Selectively citing and justifying to back up what they want to believe and argue?

I'm not going to argue with what you said, but it didn't answer the question. He hasn't actually reduced anything. He has a proposal that is DOA, but what exactly do you think he has done to reduce the debt?

Hi BULLDOG I didn't say he reduced the debt. That's why I don't say that or explain it.

You said rightwing supporters were touting that. So all I can do is explain how THEY can be saying it. They are only looking at one side of the equation.

But that's not how I approach solving problems for the longterm.

I can't answer for those people saying that, because that's not how I think or talk about it.

is that more clear?

Perhaps some, yet you still support so many of their other claims that are demonstrably false.

Not at all BULLDOG
Remember YOU were the one citing that reference.
I didn't say it, cite it, support it, anything. You did.
I just explained how they could have gotten that
perception by only looking at numbers on one side of the equation.
Wasn't that clear that isn't ACCURATE
if they are only looking at part and not the whole picture?

But if they see that, sure, it is possible in the future
the solutions could end up dropping the debt.

I think it takes more work than that.

What you describe is like when people lose 10 lbs and get excited
but they are only counting water weight. When it comes to the
REAL weight loss, it takes a LOT of work, exercise, discipline
and WEEKS to really lose weight the right way to keep it OFF.

No cheating counting just the water weight lost at the beginning....

He has been in office less than two months and have they even confirmed all his cabinet yet? I think it's a bit unreasonable to be judging his presidency at this time. Can we at least maybe give him a year? Now, that's not going to make much difference to you because you've already decided to hate whatever he does. Trump could come out with the cure for cancer in one hand and the cure for AIDS in the other and you'd bitch that he didn't have the cure for the common cold. He's not going to satisfy you no matter what he does.

So what is the point of this thread? :dunno:
