I agree, I've had friends who were Gay who had similar experiences to what you described. Who knows why.

I agree too.

My first year at college I ended up living with people who were studying education, and one other guy who was a few years older than me. Without him I'd have been very, very lonely and might not have made it through university.

He didn't have girlfriends, except one Taiwanese girl and knowing what I know now, god knows what they got up to that day in his room.

But he found himself a person to be with. It was obvious he wasn't going to get himself a girlfriend.

He's not the only one. I've lived with other people who hadn't found themselves at that point, and another who was bi-sexual and afraid of telling his "friends" (because they were, quite frankly, dicks) but he told us while drunk, then got angry about it, then realized none of us cared. He was still the same person before as after. A dirty, lazy guy who could have been so much more and smoked pot.

OF all the things you are tempted to do, you know, you see, that giving in lessens dramatically your ability to have a decision in the future.
Smoking, drinking, gambling, perverted sex -- all lose their voluntariness quickly
And, notice, if you are a pervert you are more likely to engage in other wrong behaviors simply because you have poisoned your very will

Dabbling in perversion can confirm you in perversion. All life tells you this.
The first time you shoplift, or try a strong drug, or act the pervert -- can be the last really free time you do those things.

Things like gambling show this to be a universal trait.

So being gay equals 'perversion', 'shoplifting' 'drugs' ?

Then explain why some animals are gay? Did they shoplift, take drugs?

Lol, all that says is you don't trust yourself.

I think a gay person can choose not to be gay - or at least not act on it.

In fact I know because of how many men married to women come out as gay after having functioned as a married man sometimes for decades.

Man-woman sex is natural and easy, unlike man-man, woman-woman, adult-child, child-child, human-animal, multi-partner, or any other kind that progressives want us to accept as part of some spectrum.

All of those pairings and groupings require artificial means to simulate normal reproductive-facilitating sex.

And for the most part, so what? As long it’s between or among adult humans, mimic the natural act of sex all you please. Not my beeswax if your not victimizing nobody.

Jus’ sayin’ you could choose to be straight and enjoy the body of the opposite sex as intended while fantasizing that it is whatever you are into.

1. One does not choose to be gay. One comes to realize that one is attracted to the same gender while one is in middle or high school.

2. But one can choose to engage in gay behavior.

a. As occurs in prison.
b. As occurs in the military.
c. As occurs among curious adolescent male friends.
d. As occurs among farm workers who cannot find female prostitutes.
e. As occurs in some countries where the man who is the "top" considers himself to be 100% straight.

I can only go by my personal observations of others. I would have to say no it is not a choice. When a lady friend of mine discovered she was sexually attracted to women at the age of 14 she tried to commit suicide. When two schoolmates of mine teen boys discovered they were attracted to males they succeeded in committing suicide. So I would have to say it is not a choice. Is it genetic or a conditioned behavior caused by the environment? I don't know.
So, that suicide part shows something wrong that might also explain the (passing) attraction. Really at 14 , even if you are attracted to telephhone poles,it is wrong to be acting on it. Suicide suggests a lack of a center. Sex, perverted or not, is no center for a life

Exactly that's what I'm wondering. If it's a sinful behavior, why would people be born gay since God creates everybody?
Well, you could say that about really horrible things since we are ourselves when doing right and when being a demon.
You blame God for making you free, that is what you are saying, Every human being has areas where the person has to fight their way to being whole. To limit it to sex is to excuse murder, theft , and every perversion

Must you shoplift . for example..Well do it successfully 2-3 times it will get a hold of you
Even the most heinous people admit this

Really, maybe ther first step that preceds all horrible action is to look for a reason why it isn't wrong

I doubt many people would choose to be gay.

I believe homosexuality correlates genetically with higher intelligence the way sickle cell anemia correlates with resistance to malaria. I have read that malaria is estimated to have killed more people during the last 5,000 years than all the wars combined. Even if this is not true, malaria is very deadly.

The gene for sickle cell anemia is dominant for resistance to malaria and recessive for resistance to malaria and sickle cell anemia. If you get one of the genes you are resistant to malaria, but you do not get sickle cell anemia. In an area where malaria is common, you are more likely to survive malaria. Unfortunately, you may have a child with sickle cell anemia.

Until fairly recently, intelligent people usually had more children who survived and reproduced than unintelligent people. I have not found confirmation of this, but my impression is that when other things are comparable, homosexuals tend to be more intelligent than heterosexuals.

Therefore, I hypothesize a gene variant that is dominant for higher intelligence and recessive for higher intelligence and homosexuality.

If what I say is true, it is unfair for parents do disown a child who is a homosexual; the child inherited the trait from his or her parents.

In case anyone is wondering, I am a heterosexual. I have never felt anything remotely resembling a sexual attraction for a male.

There may be a gene variant for bisexuality too.

The only problem is that there is no evidence you have presented to make your assertions true.

That's a rather surprising response from you since you're a Christian as well. I just don't believe that God makes mistakes and He definitely condemns homosexuality.
I am a Christian who believes that God inspired the Bible, but He did not dictate it. This explains the contradictions in the Bible. For example, the Gospel of St. John asserts the Divinity of Jesus. In the Gospels of Saints Matthew, Mark, and Luke Jesus says, "Why do you call me good? There is no one good but God."

In the Old Testament Leviticus condemns homosexual behavior. Leviticus also condemns virtually all sexual behavior but that between a man and a wife when the wife is likely to become fertile.

This promotes large families. Israel was a small nation composed of twelve tribes. Israel was often at war. Israel needed a high birth rate to compensate for the losses of the battlefield.

The problem we face now is not extinction, but over population.

Bringing this up because it came up in another topic. I have only one rule. Absolutely NO bashing anybody of the LGBT community (this doesn't include the sin of homosexuality itself) as this isn't what this discussion is about. Me personally, I think sexual preferences are a choice since I chose not to be a creep and attracted to children or animals, but feel free to discuss. (Oh and for the record obviously you choose to be Transgender.)
I am pretty much convinced people who are gay are born gay. There are some who are bisexual who can enjoy sex with either gender but these people are quite rare. I know too many people who really tried to reject or dismiss their homosexuality and were much happier once they accepted that.

Choosing obscene, immoral, vulgar, degenerate behavior is absolutely a choice of those engaging in it, but I believe the large majority of gay people do not do that any more than the large majority of straight people do not do that. Gay people among my friends and family are as normal citizens as anybody could be.

I do think homosexuality is a deviance from normal just as type 1 diabetes is or a tendency toward obesity or autism or any other human condition that is fairly rare. And any such deviance suggests the possibility of a cure for those who want it. That we don't have a cure does not mean none will ever be discovered. Those born different from the mainstream did not choose to be different. Nor should they be shamed or be considered immoral or inferior for something they did not choose, did not want, but is a condition they are required to live with for now.

The truth is that sexuality exists on a spectrum. Some men are more feminine and some women are more masculine. Despite this, society has always promoted natal gender, why? Because sexuality is also part societal conditioning. In the past a 'Tom boy' was recognized as a girl who enjoyed doing boy stuff but, was still basically still female. Men who were more feminine (but also natal male) were attracted to this type of woman. Today, even the mention that a kid is 'uncomfortable' with their sex is taken as a reason to try to change their sex. It's an abomination and goes against nature.
