No, Republicans invented NAFTA. 100% of Republicans in the House and Senate voted for it. You DUPED Clinton into signing it.Way too many of you suddenly were siding with Russia when Biden was president.
Wrong
Republicans have never been pro russian or against Ukraine
And stop calling the companies globalists when it's convenient. Every company is a globalist
I remember when corporations were demonized by lefties as protectionist for trying to keep foreign competition out of the US market
Removing tariffs and embracing free trade with ravenous mercantilist cheaters like china forces US companies to outsource
And don't forget Republicans won when they convinced us to do NAFTA. Not the other way around.
Yes repubs supported NAFTA
And so did drmocrat president bill clinton
Ross Perot tried to warn us about NAFTA but democrat Al Gore shouted him down during a debate on the Larry King Show
Honestly, by the time Bill signed it, it was a done deal.
If HB Bush would have one he would have signed it. The only reason he didn't is he lost. By this time, it was a DONE DEAL. And actually today, I love it. You convince us it was good to get cheaper shit from China. The rest will work itself out. We don't need to bring all manufacturing back to America. Some jobs we should have never let go.
Bottom line is Trump is messing things up not fixing what was wrong. And you know it.
So far you are 0 for 3. Everything you have said is wrong. I think you said one more thing.
BOOM!
Al said what I've been saying. NAFTA was a done deal. And he and Bill put worker and environmental protections into NAFTA before they signed it.
Let me go on record. NAFTA, or Free trade, is a good thing. Some things should have never been sent overseas. Auto jobs, defense, medicines, etc. America was stupid for sending those things overseas. Who sent auto jobs? Mostly GW Bush in the 2000's
Here's another MIC DROP
Most U.S. manufacturing jobs left during the early 2000s and particularly between 2001 and 2009. This period saw a significant decline in manufacturing employment, with approximately one-third of jobs vanishing within those eight years. While manufacturing employment had been declining since the late 1970s, the decline accelerated after the turn of the century, especially during the Great Recession.
Most high paying manufacturing jobs left in the 2000's and you provided Bush with cover when you attacked UNIONS. Remember? I do.
