China is actually making great strides in green energy. Of course they have a higher CO2 output, they have five times as many people as we do. Duh.

....Fail.... Your assumption that he must have cut deals with 200 countries or not is ludicrous.

Deals can be multiple deals on multiple products between the two parties negotiating the deals.

Split deals are different than a sweeping deal between two countries, and you know this, but you continue your fiasco on get Trump, get Trump, get Trump at all cost.

Has it occurred to you that if the pressure is on him from every direction, then everyone knows it's a terrible idea?

No, screwing up the international system of trade is NOT the right thing. If the goal is to increase American Manufacturing, you don't do that by protecting American Manufacturing from its own lack of competitiveness.

We don't need to wait to see how it will turn out. We know that protectionism causes recessions.
