The smartest thing our country could do is educate our people.

But, of course, the right is against "elitist" education".

The right believes all our students should learn is "you want fries with that??

Actually we think they should learn to use a ratchet, or splice wires, or place concrete if that is their aptitude, and not be shunted into elementary basketweaving or "help help I'm being oppressed" studies just because "everyone has to go to college"

Right on!!!! I'm grateful that we still had auto shop, woodworking, and metal shop available when I was in high school. I gained great, valuable information from those classes.

I went to a Catholic high school, and they didn't have any of those around. I got lucky and had a Father who was a handyman on the side, and taught me basic home maintenance work and how to paint interior rooms in particular. He also taught me how to put up and remove wallpaper, but you would need a gun at my head to get me to do that crap again.
