The embargo against Cuba has not worked, and back in the 80's and 90's all I had to do is go to Belize to take a charter boat to Cuba, so it has not worked.

Now will banning the sale and ownership of firearms stopped a criminal element from obtaining them illegally?

Not necessarily

People consume drugs and there is HUGE demand. The drug industry dwarfs the gun industry by 12-15x.

So if any ban MIGHT work itd be a gun ban. It works in every other country.
