Cop fired for saying word "Monday"

"This past Thursday, after a lengthy investigation, Perrault was fired.

"You have demonstrated through your racist comments that you cannot continue as a patrol officer," Leominster Mayor Dean Mazzarella wrote in his termination notice to Perrault (via ESPN).

Mazzarella’s decision comes on the heels of Police Chief Robert Healey noting that, because Perrault had a history of using derogatory, racist terms, he deserved a strict punishment of some sort."

At the hearing Wednesday, it was revealed that Perrault has been accused of making racially insensitive remarks in the past.

He allegedly bragged about heckling Crawford on his Facebook page and surrounded the post with other racial slurs.

During the investigation into Perrault’s alleged remarks, other officers said they often heard him use the “n-word” repeatedly to describe black basketball players while watching a game on TV.

It was also revealed that Perrault allegedly made a derogatory racial remark at a bar on St. Patrick’s Day, nearly causing a fight.

Looks like a history to me, and this may have been the last straw.

Wonder if his appeal will be on a Monday.

Which Congresswoman said "They don't use the n word anymore, they say tax cuts instead." Her name escapes me at the moment.

A racist term is whatever the left wants it to be. Calling obama a socialist is racist. If he didn't say "Monday" it would be something else.

I bet he would have gotten the highest award possible if he called him Friday.

What if this guy who called him Monday was actually giving a compliment because the cops Friday was Monday and Tuesday would be the cops Saturday.

Not necessarily.

If you remember the story of Robinson Crusoe, the shipwrecked (white) sailor, who had a Native companion/servant on a desert island.

The mayor (assuming he has enough education to know about Daniel Dafoe's novel) would have fired the cop just the same, accusing him of being a proponent of slavery.

With enough malice and ill-will and sufficient political correctness Mother Teresa can be made to look like a whore.

Mass. mayor fires cop he says slurred Sox player | Comcast

A Massachusetts mayor on Thursday fired a white police officer accused of using a racial slur to taunt Boston Red Sox outfielder Carl Crawford, saying the officer had ``brought discredit'' on himself and the department.

``You have demonstrated through your racist comments that you cannot continue as a patrol officer,'' Leominster Mayor Dean Mazzarella wrote in his termination notice to officer John Perrault.

Perrault had been on paid leave since he called Crawford a ``Monday'' before a July 5 minor league game in Manchester, N.H.

The word can be used as a derogatory term for blacks, and is often associated with Mondays being one of the most-hated days of the week, such as in the common phrase, ``I hate Mondays.''

WTF ? thank god he did not call him a tuesday or all hell would of broke out .....

So those heavily vested in racism have now declared the days of the week racist.

Democrats always reaching new depths of stupidity...

And then Carl Crawford said "What the fuck does that even mean, man"?

That's exactly what he said, and what everyone in MA said when this story broke. Nobody had heard of this as a racial slur. Local news stations had to send out researchers to find out what the hell it was supposed to mean. At least one local radio station couldn't find any reference to it prior to it being used by a black comedian doing a bit about Boston being a racist city.

There is a data base of racial slurs and yes Monday is in there because nobody likes Monday.

The Racial Slur Database

So is bee keeper, lava lamp, mayonnaise and oddly enough, lowlander. If we were to eliminate saying all words that could possibly be used as racial slurs, we'd be speaking in tongues.

thought-police at work.

Just because we are not familiar with the term, the two involved knew what it meant, the ball player and the cop. And the cop already had a history of calling out racial slurs. He's in the wrong job.

"Monday" is a racial slur because no one likes money, just like no one likes Afros. That makes sense.

When people flush shit down the toilet, they do it because it's shit, just like Afros.

Well, kiss my grits. In 10 hours, Monday went viral. :lmao:

Socialist is a racial slur. The term tax cuts is a racial slur. Anything can be a racial slur. It took me a while to get that "manicurist" is a racial slur against Viet Namese women. All you really need to get a word understood as a racial slur is for someone to say they were offended.

Actually, Crawford did not know what it meant either.
